DreamWorks has released two new posters for Shrek Forever After on Yahoo.  As I have said a few times, a hated the last two Shrek movies. Saying that, I’ve seen the first 30 minutes of the latest sequel and liked what I saw.  Does that mean the final film will be great…who knows.  But I thought How to Train Your Dragon was fantastic so maybe DreamWorks will be two for two.  Check out the posters after the jump:

Synopsis: After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws’ kingdom, what’s an ogre to do?  Well, if you’re Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man.  Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks.  What’s happened to this ogre’s roar?  Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre,” Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin.  Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumpelstiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met.  Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.

Cast: Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas

Release: May 21, 2010

The problem with today's youth is represented right there in those two posters. Why does Dreamworks feel the need to make everything “cute” Kids are no longer allowed to be childern, they are force fed and marketed attitudes common among that of a teenager Not to be prudish, but I just find it ridiculous that parents actually buy into this crap and then laugh when junior at five starts singing about bitches. This would be fine if SHREK wasnt marketed to kids, no intelligent minded adult finds humor in tired cliches that we're funny when we ourselves were teenager.

You should turn that to 3 for 3. Kung Fu Panda was fantastic.

Yeah, but after Kung Fu Panda there was the terrible Madagascar 2 and the mediocre at best Monsters Vs. Aliens. DreamWorks Animation has the rare good movie, so far they have not had a streak.

Oh believe me I know. But to leave out Kung Fu Panda because of some of their track record wouldn't be fair. That being said I feel like there's two different teams that work for Dreamworks. One that makes good movies every couple of years and the other that makes the rest of the horrible junk.
