If you’re like me, you may have missed a few movies this year. There were just too many quality films and not enough time to see them all. Luckily, YouTube user Matt Shapiro has continued with his annual Cinescape compilations in order to get us caught up on the pictures we missed this year along with a revisit of the movies we loved. This short film is an absolute clinic in editing as it compiles scenes from a ridiculous number of movies along with relevant snippets of dialogue in order to create an original narrative. You’ll see your favorite leading men and women, heroes and villains, explosions and gun fights and a little bit of romance as well. Not a bad way to end a great year in cinema. Hit the jump to check it out.
Check out Shapiro’s Cinescape for 2012 below and be sure to head over to his YouTube page to check out his previous compilations:

Happy new year collider.
Wow, you had me at hello etc
You should check out “Filmography 2012′ by genrocks on Youtube. A fantastic compilation video with great music matched perfectly with dialogue and movie scenes. She also made one for 2011 and 2010, the latter being my favorite of all.
