As we await the 85th Academy Award nominations announcement on Thursday morning, we now have a look at the opposite end of the 2012 film spectrum.  The 33rd Golden Raspberry Award nominations have been announced, celebrating the very worst of what 2012′s movie slate had to offer.  Leading the pack is The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 with 10 nominations, as the film landed a nomination in every single category.  The Twilight closer will go head-to-head with Battleship, A Thousand Words, That’s My Boy, and The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure for the Worst Picture title.

It’s easy to beat up on the Twilight franchise, and even though I wouldn’t go so far as to call Breaking Dawn – Part 2 a good movie, it’s in no way the worst movie of the year.  The sheer amount of beheadings alone in director Bill Condon’s climactic fight sequence is enough to make the movie worth watching.  Anyway, hit the jump to check out the full list of Razzie Awards nominations.

Here’s the (rather painful) video announcement, followed by the full list of nominations:

    • Seeing how Time, Newsweek, RollingStone, The Daily Beast, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Post, The Denver Post, and the American Film Institue all listed it as one of the year’s best, I fail to see any validity to your argument. You don’t like the film-Fine. However, don’t go making bold blanket statements that do not have any objective support.

    • The only reason most critics gave it a fresh rating is because they were afraid of bullying fanboy assholes like you giving them death threats. Most reviews read : “This movie was horseshit but I’m giving a free pass so I don’t have a bunch of carpal tunnel syndrome mama’s boys threaten to beat me to death with a rubber hose”. You try and pull that shit on me you fat-gutted punk and I’ll punch you in your sow’s stomach you cheeto-eating pederast.

      @ john
      Yeah, I certainly do “sink”

  1. In my opinion, Battleship is pretty much the worse film of the year. I felt rather offended watching this movie; it was like an insult to my intelligence. Everything about it was horrible and not even Taylor Kitsch’s charm was able to save it. I truly don’t know how people liked it because it wasn’t even fun to watch. I mean, Transformers is bad but it is very enjoyable to watch compared to this movie.

    • Aren’t you the giant Nolanite? John Dies In The End is Shakespeare next to Rises. Bane’s voice alone is worth entry into the worst of the year list. Hell Battleship had better continuity in it’s editing a more sensical story and one that had fewer plotholes. Admit you don’t understand film and move on with your life.

      • awwww, mr. wow, you are so cute and deluded; i hope you’re having a good time writing these charming comments, you are sooo cute :*

      • Wow is right. There were NO expectations for any of these other movies. TDKR squandered the good will built up over two previous good movies and marred a franchise. Yeah, I loved the first two movies, that’s why TDKR pissed me off so much. A terrible ending, massive plot holes, and the worst sound editing ever in a big budget movie. How about fan boys address those issues instead of pointing to some critics’ opinions like a little bitch.

  2. I actually quite enjoyed the second Ghost Rider movie. I thought it was a bit goofy but it was all in good fun and a big improvement over the original.

  3. Bill Condon for worst director? That was the best he could do on that shit script! I urge you guys to watch Kinsey (2004) directed by Condon; I’m sure you would change your minds.

  4. Well i gotta say, i read the Twilight books and although they were no were near Harry Potter level of quality, they were ok.. And with the right actors, screenwriters, and directors it could have been pretty good.. So am going to blame the casting director, producer, and the writer for this travesty because this series really had potential!!

    • It never had potential!!! It’s a story about a pedophile sparkly vampire……………and some dudes who like taking there tops off!!! Fuck you it’s lame!
