Directors Phil Lord & Chris Miller are quickly becoming some of the most exciting filmmakers working today, and luckily we don’t have to wait long for their follow-up to February’s delightful The LEGO Movie.  The directors are currently putting the finishing touches on their upcoming comedy sequel 22 Jump Street (which we here at Collider are very much looking forward to), and the first clip from the follow-up has now arrived online.  The film finds Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s characters taking their undercover operation to a college campus, and in this first 22 Jump Street clip we see that the two also get involved with a drug cartel (led by Peter Stormare, natch).  Unfortunately, Tatum’s character has a bit of trouble nailing down a particular accent.

Hit the jump to watch the clip, and if you missed any of Dave’s set visit coverage be sure to check out his full report and interviews with Tatum & Hill, Lord & Miller, producer Neil H. Moritz, and co-star Wyatt Russell.  The film opens in theaters on June 13th.

Here’s the official synopsis for 22 Jump Street:

After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
