Opening this Friday is director Pierre Morel’s new movie From Paris With Love. While the film looks like your standard action flick, Morel’s last movie was Taken, and that was kind of awesome. Also, Luc Besson wrote the story. What I’m trying to say is…I’m interested in checking this film out, even though John Travolta’s one of the leads. Sorry John…it’s been awhile since I’ve cared about any of your movies.
Anyway, to help promote the film, we’ve been given 3 clips and you can watch them after the jump:
Here are the three clips and further down is the official synopsis:
As always, are the clips are in the player below. Once you push play you might have to watch a pre-roll ad and then all the clips will play in order. Sorry about the pre-roll, it pays for the bandwidth.
A personal aide to the U.S. Ambassador in France, James Reese (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) has an enviable life in Paris and a beautiful French girlfriend, but his real passion is his side job as a low-level operative for the CIA. All James wants is to become a bona fide agent and see some real action. So when he’s offered his first senior-level assignment, he can’t believe his good luck – until he meets his new partner, special agent Charlie Wax (John Travolta).
A trigger-happy, wisecracking, loose cannon who’s been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack, Wax leads James on a white-knuckle shooting spree through the Parisian underworld that has James praying for his desk job. But when James discovers he’s a target of the same crime ring they’re trying to bust, he realizes there’s no turning back…and that Wax himself might be his only hope for making it through the next forty-eight hours alive.
Starring John Travolta, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kasia Smutniak and Richard Durden, Luc Besson Presents FROM PARIS WITH LOVE, a EuropaCorp – M6 Films – Grive Productions – Apipoulaï Prod Coproduction with the Participation of Canal+, TPS Star and M6, which is directed by Pierre Morel (TAKEN) from a screenplay by Adi Hasak and based on a story by Luc Besson.
