Jesse Eisenberg Reunites with ZOMBIELAND Director Ruben Fleischer in 30 MINUTES OR LESS

Jesse Eisenberg had a fantastic 2009, first as the lead in the acclaimed Adventureland, then in a starmaking turn in the surprise hit Zombieland.  This fall’s The Social Network, the Facebook origin story as told by director David Fincher, looks to complete Eisenberg’s transformation from “mumbling kid in The Squid and the Whale” to “star on the rise.”  With so many opportunities now open to the young actor, Eisenberg made the classy choice to return to his roots.

Variety reports that Eisenberg will re-team with Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer for the action-comedy 30 Minutes or Less, which centers on “two wannabe criminals who force a loser pizza delivery man to rob a bank in 30 minutes or less.”  Eisenberg will play the pizza delivery man, while Danny McBride (Pineapple Express) and Nick Swardson (Bedtime Stories) will play the two criminals; the cast also includes Aziz Ansari (Parks & Recreation) and Michael Peña (Observe and Report).  Production commences in July with an August 12, 2011 in mind.
