Saban Films has released a new trailer for 31 from writer/director Rob Zombie. The new trailer is full of quick shots, slashes, chills, and carnage, whetting audience appetites for the Fathom Events premiere of the film on Thursday, September 1st. Fathom's event includes the word premieres of the "Gore Whore" and "Get Your Boots On" music videos, a look behind the scenes, and a one-on-one Q&A with Rob Zombie.

You can see the new trailer, which starts with Malcolm McDowell's "Father Napoleon-Horatio-Silas Murder" introducing the "most dangerous game alive" that will certainly provoke and welcome some comparisons to his iconic role in A Clockwork Orange. Rob Zombie's distinctive filming style is seen throughout... 31 is certainly not The Hunger Games. Check it out below:

Here's how Saban describes the movie:

From the visionary mind of man who brought us House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and Halloween comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.

31 stars Sheri Moon Zombie as Charly, Jeff Daniel Phillips as Roscoe, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs as Panda Thomas, and Kevin Jackson as Levon as four carnival workers who have to survive a maze-like set of rooms and avoid attempts on their life in a game called "31." Malcolm McDowell, Meg Foster, and Ginger Lynn also star.

Tickets to the special Fathom one-night event can be purchased here. For those unable to make the Fathom Events screenings, the film–which recently screened at the Horror Channel's Fright Fest in the United Kingdom–will see its regular theatrical release on September 16th.
