A new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender has come online. I’ve said my peace on the film and this new trailer does nothing to change my opinion one way or the other. It’s what you expect: chosen special one must save the world, special effects, epic backdrop. I’m not saying whether the film will be good or bad because it really looks like it could go either way. If you’re excited the film, this trailer will probably get you more amped. If you’re indifferent, you’ll probably stay that way. If you think the movie looks terrible, then why do you care about a new trailer? I guess if you feel that your hate makes you stronger, than this is like weight-lifting.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer along with the official synopsis. The Last Airbender hits theaters on July 2nd.
Here’s the official synopsis for The Last Airbender:
Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Four nations tied by destiny when the Fire Nation launches a brutal war against the others. A century has passed with no hope in sight to change the path of this destruction. Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. Aang teams with Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother, Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), to restore balance to their war-torn world.
Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film “The Last Airbender” is the opening chapter in Aang’s struggle to survive.
