With director Robert Zemeckis’ (“Beowulf”, “The Polar Express”) animated version of “A Christmas Carol” opening on November 6th, Walt Disney has provided us with six clips from the film.  While I normally love to check out the clips that we’re provided, the movie is being released in “Disney 3D” and that’s the way I want to see the footage for the first time.  However, since I know a lot of you want to check out the footage right now, the clips are after the jump.  Again, if you’re planning on seeing “A Christmas Carol” in a theater, make sure you see it in 3D!

Here’s the synopsis:

Ebenezer Scrooge begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late. The film stars Jim Carrey, Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Robin Wright Penn, Gary Oldman, Cary Elwes, and Colin Firth

WOW!!!! i was looking forward to this film before, but damn! Those were amazing clips.
Jim Carrey should get best actor repeatedly at the oscars for this. Amazing performance. Even though its mocap, its easy to spot Jims movements, nuances and facial/body gestures. Incredible, especially playing several roles.

Watch in horror as he yet again gets robbed at oscar time! Sigh!

Looking forward to seeing this classic. I must, however, disagree with Ty on which “A Christmas Carol” is the best adaptation. Without a doubt, the George C Scott version is one of the best films ever made (in my opinion, of course).
