Opening on July 24th is “The Ugly Truth” and it’s a romantic comedy starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler. In the latest chapter of the genre:
A romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) is hopelessly single. She’s in for a rude awakening when her bosses team her with Mike Chadway (Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.
While I always find it funny when Hollywood tries to sell a woman looking like Katherine Heigl being hopelessly single, I’m rooting for the film because of Gerard Butler. What can I say, after “300″ I’m a fan. Anyway, after the jump are six clips if you’d like to take a look.
Finally, I’m interviewing the cast this weekend, so check back next week for the interviews.

Actually in my opinion you can sell an attractive woman as being single. NOw I’ve dated attractive women but to be fair, they weren’t on the level of Katherine Heigl. More like, Sara Rue and Elisabeth Moss. Average ‘girl next door’ types. Reality based ‘girl nest door’ types.
Somebody who looks like Heigl has to get past men in who aren’t interested in her for who she really is, they just want to get in her pants because she’s so hot. Finding a person who is looking to truly accept her can be difficult.
