For many, many months, we’ve been posting reviews, interviews, and even a few clips from Clark Gregg’s movie “Choke.” As most of you know, “Choke” is a book by Chuck Palahniuk (“Fight Club”) and it was one of the big sales at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. Fox Searchlight actually bought the movie and they’re finally releasing it on September 26th.

If you aren’t familiar with “Choke”……

Victor Mancini (Sam Rockwell) is a sex-addicted med-school dropout. He keeps his increasingly deranged mother, Ida, in an expensive private mental hospital by working days as a historical reenactor. At night he runs a scam where he deliberately chokes in upscale restaurants to form parasitic relationships with the wealthy patrons who “save” him. When, in a rare lucid moment, Ida reveals that she has withheld the shocking truth of his father’s identity, Victor must enlist the aid of his best friend, Denny, a recovering chronic masturbator, and his mother’s beautiful attending physician, Dr. Paige Marshall, to solve this mystery before the truth of his possibly divine parentage is lost forever.

Anyway, for more on the movie, here’s some reviews (first, second, third), some clips I posted back at Sundance, and even an exclusive interview I did with Chuck at Sundance.

While I haven’t seen the final version of the film, the version I saw at Sundance was great and absolutely worth checking out when it gets released later this month. With the press junket happening very soon in Los Angeles, expect new interviews with the cast and a lot more on the movie. Until then, here’s 7 new clips we were just given. Check them out.
