90-Minute Video Review of STAR WARS: EPISODE II – ATTACK OF THE CLONES

After his wildly successful 70-minute video review of The Phantom Menace, Red Letter Media has returned with a 90-minute review of Attack of the Clones.  While RLM was able to get through the plot of the first movie, this time around he focuses more on the uncomfortable “romance” and the terrible action sequences.  But like the first mega-review, he points out a lot of inconsistencies and contradictions I never noticed or at least forced myself to forget.

This is definitely going to be a more controversial installment when it comes to his points about what women want in a guy, why Samuel L. Jackson was cast in the film, and that it’s possible to have too many lightsabers.  Whether you agree or not, well…that’s why we have a comments section.  (But I hope we all agree he needs to drop the lame serial killer stuff)

So hit the jump and enjoy Super Jesus Day with this 90-minute review of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.  If you need something to tide you over until his Revenge of the Sith review, click here.

“Zombie Jesus Day?” I'm not saying I'm religious… but I certainly hope you're not one of those cats who demand the religious/non-religious to 'coexist' while you personally take the time to crap on a specific relgion's holiday. Becuase if you are… you're just another hypocrite.

Pretty awesome. A little long and repetitive. Lose the misogyny. Definitely opened my eyes about a whole bunch of hate I was missing. WOW. That's a really bad movie.

Am I the only one who thinks that someone who has this much time to waste criticizing ONE movie is a little pathetic? I mean, who does that? He can really criticize something for 90 minutes? Really? Wow. That guy shouldn't be criticizing ANYTHING after looking at himself, even though Attack of the Clones does suck.

If he needs to drop the lame serial killer stuff, then Matt needs to stop putting in his utterly juvinile and totally worthless two cents and just report the fucking news

Because it's not just a critique of the movie, it's also a parody of the kinds of nerds that take this stuff way too seriously. A self-parody. It's basically a piece of performance art. But yeah, way too much serial killer schtick in this one.

    Good Lord!
    Lucas should watch this review!!!

I haven't seen all of it yet, but among all of the crass and snarky comments, which are pretty damn funny, there are legit criticisms here. The bit about establishing Obi-Wan and Anakin's friendship is especially true. George Lucas' writing is seriously flawed, but I think we all knew that already.

In 2009, Eddie Izzard ran 43 Marathons in 51 days, despite having no previous running experience. He covered 1,100 miles and raised a heck of a lot of cash for Sport Relief.

In 2010, someone called RedLetterMedia made a 70 minute review of a 10 year old movie.

Which do you think I personally would consider a real 'Achievement'?
