From the creators of Despicable Me comes the animated feature film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, a beloved cautionary tale of environmental conservation wrapped up in a colorful children’s story. We’ve previously brought you images, trailers and even a Super Bowl ad spot for Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda’s The Lorax, which stars Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Ed Helms, Betty White and Danny DeVito. Now we have eight clips from the movie, which will mark Universal’s third Dr. Seuss feature after How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Cat in the Hat. On what would have been the author’s 108th birthday, The Lorax will land in theaters on March 2nd. Hit the jump to check out the clips.

We’ve been provided with six clips from the upcoming action-comedy This Means War to share with our readers. Directed by McG, the film stars Chris Pine and Tom Hardy as two CIA operatives who realize they’re dating the same girl (Reese Witherspoon). Rather than giving up and allowing one of the two to continue seeing Witherspoon, Hardy and Pine put their CIA gadgetry and know-how to work in order to derail each another’s relationship with the girl.
Hit the jump to check out the clips and look for interviews with the cast and McG soon. This Means War opens February 14th.

Excitement! Yet another noteworthy release date is just around the corner for Twilight fans, as The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits DVD shelves on February 10th. To build anticipation for the release (because it’s seriously lacking in anticipation), a behind-the-scenes clip from the DVD’s special features has been released. This isn’t just any behind-the-scenes featurette, as it takes fans on the set during the filming of the all-important wedding scene. Director Bill Condon describes his intention with the scene, and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart make out. It’s good times all around.
Hit the jump to check out the clip. Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits DVD shelves February 11th. As we previously reported, select Target stores will be hosting the world premiere of a scene from Breaking Dawn – Part 2 during the midnight DVD release.

With director Michael Sucsy‘s The Vow opening on February 10, Screen Gems has provided us with five movie clips and eleven images from the film. Based on a true story, the film stars Rachel McAdams as a woman who loses all her recent memory in a car crash, including that of her husband played by Channing Tatum. The film focuses on McAdams trying to get her life back, anchored by Tatum’s struggle to make her fall in love with him again. The Vow also stars Sam Neil, Scott Speedman, and Jessica Lange. Hit the jump for the clips and images and look for exclusive video interviews with the cast next week.

With director Daniel Espinosa‘s action-thriller Safe House opening February 10, Universal has provided us with four clips and 18 images from the film. The story centers on a young CIA agent (Ryan Reyonlds) who’s tasked with transporting a dangerous criminal (Denzel Washington) to a new location after their safe house is attacked by assassins. Safe House also stars Brendan Gleeson, Sam Shepard, Vera Farmiga, Fares Fares, Robert Patrick, Nora Arnezeder, Liam Cunningham, Joel Kinnaman, and Ruben Blades. We’ve been provided with four clips and nine images from the upcoming superhero found footage film Chronicle to share with our readers. The story centers on three high school students who are endowed with superhuman powers after being exposed to an unknown substance in an underground lair. The pic chronicles what happens when some of the most irresponsible human beings on the planet—teenagers—are given incredible abilities. Buzz for the film has been very positive, and you can read our preview footage report and interview with the film’s director, Josh Trank, here. In fact, 20th Century Fox is apparently so pleased with the finished product that Trank is their number one choice to direct the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.
Hit the jump to check out the clips and images. The film stars Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan, and Alex Russell and it was written by Max Landis. Chronicle opens February 3rd, 2012.

For Daniel Radcliffe’s first major role since Harry Potter, he chose to star in The Woman in Black, a gothic horror tale based off of a 1983 novel by Susan Hill. Horror movies have been lucrative as of late (Insidious, Paranormal Activity 3, The Devil Inside) and legendary studio Hammer Film Productions is delving back into the sort of film that made them popular in the UK. On this side of the pond, however, Radcliffe’s name is sure to stir up more interest than the revival of an old horror studio. With that in mind, domestic distributor CBS Films has released a collection of behind-the-scenes featurettes and clips for The Woman in Black in an effort to showcase Radcliffe’s maturity as an actor. Directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake), The Woman in Black stars Radcliffe, Janet McTeer (Tideland) and Ciaran Hinds (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and opens February 3rd. Hit the jump to check out the featurettes, clips and a new poster.

We’ve been provided with an exclusive clip from the upcoming historical drama The Flowers of War. Directed by Zhang Yimou (Hero), the film is set during the Japanese invasion of China in 1937 and stars Christian Bale as a priest who seeks refuge in a local church, where he meets a beautiful Chinese courtesan who helps him rescue a group of schoolgirls from a terrible fate at the hands of the Japanese. The pic is the most expensive movie that China has ever made, and the production values are on full display in the impressive trailers.

One of my must-see films at this year’s Sundance Film Festival is Stephen Frears‘ adaptation of Lay the Favorite starring Rebecca Hall and Bruce Willis. Hall plays a woman who works for Dink, a high-stakes gambler (Willis), and takes to the job like a natural, but she begins to fall for Dink, much to the chagrin of Dink’s wife, Tulip (Catherine Zeta-Jones). The first clip from the film shows Hall and Willis singing along to The Hollies’ creepy song “The Air That I Breathe” (I know it’s not meant to be creepy, but it just is), driving along the Las Vegas strip, and getting chummy.
Hit the jump for the clip. The movie reunites Frears’ with his High Fidelity screenwriter D.V. DeVincentis, and co-stars Joshua Jackson, Vince Vaughn, Laura Prepon, and Corbin Bernsen. Lay the Favorite premieres at Sundance on the 21st and I’ll be there to review it. The 2012 Sundance Film Festival runs from January 19 – 29th.

Pop quiz, hot shot: you have a choice between facing a pack of hungry wolves protecting their territory in the Alaskan wilderness or Liam Neeson armed with broken-bottle glass-knuckles. Before you answer, you should check out these new clips from Neeson’s upcoming “man vs nature” flick, The Grey. In it, Neeson leads a crew of oil rig roughnecks in a race for survival after their plane crashes in the barren north. We’ve previously brought you two different trailers and even marked the film as one of “Collider’s Most Anticipated” of early 2011. What else do you want from us? Oh, right. The clips.
The Grey, by director Joe Carnahan, also stars Frank Grillo, Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, Joe Anderson, James Badge Dale and Nonso Anozie. It opens in theaters January 27th. Hit the jump to check out the clips and a new banner poster.

The “found footage” movie that made its way into two of our “Most Anticipated” lists is beginning to rev up its marketing engine. Chronicle, which debuted its first trailer back in October, recently released two clips entitled “The Discovery” and “The Baseball Test.” The first clip is essentially a teaser about how three teenagers acquire telekinesis and other superpowers, but it does a nice job of setting up the dynamic among them. The second clip features the guys testing out their new found powers and contains hilarious moments of schadenfreude; it also happens to give nice foreshadowing in a subtle, yet unnerving performance by Dane DeHaan (True Blood). Unfortunately, the poor quality of the CG baseball doesn’t bode well for the rest of the film. Hit the jump to check out the clips and a new poster for Chronicle.

It’s safe to say that Steven Soderbergh’s action pic Haywire looks fantastically badass. Both Brendan and I chose it as one of our most anticipated films of 2012’s first quarter, and now the first five minutes of the film are online for your viewing pleasure. While I’ve refrained from watching it as I’d like to go into the movie fresh, if you’re on the fence about the pic I highly suggest you check it out. They showed the first trailer at last year’s Comic-Con and I wasn’t too impressed, but immediately afterward Soderbergh screened a fight sequence between star/MMA fighter Gina Carano and Michael Fassbender that blew me away. Among the wealth of movie goods we were privy to at Comic-Con, that fight has stuck with me and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the film plays out.
Hit the jump to check out the clip. The film also stars Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas, and Bill Paxton. Haywire opens January 20th.

With director Steven Soderbergh’s spy-action pic Haywire opening January 20th, we’ve been provided with three clips and almost forty images from the film. Staring MMA fighter Gina Carano as a burned spy who takes revenge against her handlers, Haywire also stars Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Angarano, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, and Bill Paxton.
I’ve seen Haywire twice now and it’s fantastic. On top of Carano’s star in the making performance, the action scenes are some of the best I’ve seen in years. It’s absolutely something you should see in a theater. Hit the jump for the clips and images and look for my exclusive video interviews with the cast next week.

We’ve been provided with five clips and sixteen images from director Baltasar Kormákur’s crime thriller Contraband. The film is set in the world of international smuggling and stars Mark Wahlberg as a man trying to escape his days as a criminal. When his brother-in-law (Caleb Landry Jones) botches a deal, Wahlberg’s character must settle his brother-in-law’s debt in order to keep him safe from a drug boss (Giovanni Ribisi). The film also stars Kate Beckinsale, Ben Foster, J.K. Simmons, and Diego Luna.
Hit the jump to check out the clips and images. Contraband opens January 13th, 2012.

Screen Gems has sent over 5 movie clips and 12 images for Underworld: Awakening, the fourth entry in the Vampires vs. Lycans franchise. Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene, “who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.” Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley, and Charles Dance also star; Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein directed the January 20, 2012 release. While I’m under embargo from writing what I thought, I suggest watching my interview with Beckinsale from earlier today, as I may have said something on camera.
