This month brings that thing which all devoted television fans have been waiting (im)patiently for, namely Season 6 of Game of Thrones on HBO. This season promises to finally answer the question that everyone’s been asking – is Jon Snow dead? –  but there are plenty of other questions that people are looking for answers to. While visiting Conan last night, Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos in the series, admitted to Conan O’Brien that he knows a few big secrets about the show itself and the season but can’t speak about such things. Why? Because, according to Cunningham, HBO hires snipers to keep the stars and crew of the series away from spoiler country. When he was about to admit a spoiler, a small red lazer-pointer dot showed up on his chest, a nice little bit to underline the absurd secrecy of the juggernaut series.

Though he couldn’t admit any big details about the upcoming season, Cunningham came bearing an even better treat: the first official clip from Season 6, featuring Davos looking over the body of the recently departed Snow. You’ve seen bits of the scene in the trailers thus far, but this gives more context as to what Davos is up to in the sequence, but not enough to give away any major plot turns. Lest you garner the attentions of the assassins.

Game of Thrones Season 6 premieres on April 24th on HBO.

Here’s the clip from Conan, including the “sniper” bit and the Game of Thrones clip:

Here’s the official synopsis for the sixth season of Game of Thrones:

“Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.”
