The CW Network has released an official description of Smallville season 10 and they’ve included a lot of info about what the cast is going to be dealing with over the course of the final season.  While I wouldn’t call of any it “spoilers”, if you’re trying to be surprised, it’s best not to read it.  Hit the jump for more:

SMALLVILLE’S Season Finale “Salvation” Images and Synopsis – Clark Kent vs. Zod

While many figured this would be the last season of Smallville as The CW moved it where shows go to die (Friday night’s), the show managed to get enough people to tune in that it’s getting a tenth season.  You read that right…it’s turning ten next year.  After next season, Smallville will have aired over 200 episodes.  No matter what you think of the show, that’s a hell of an accomplishment.  With the season finale next week, The CW has sent over a bunch of images and the official synopsis.  Hit the jump to take a look:

SMALLVILLE Eighth Season Blu-Ray Review

I am a comic book nerd.  That’s no news.  I see all the movies and buy far too many comic books for the limited space I have to keep them in.  I joined Smallville in its infancy and stuck through a couple seasons.  I liked the friendship between Clark Kent and Lex Luthor that the series started off with and the slow unraveling of that bond, but ultimately the meteorite powered villain of the week got tired.  The series had the whole DC Universe as a sandbox to play in and didn’t.  That oversight is rectified this season… in spades. My review after the jump:
