Katherine Heigl and Director Andy Tennant Unite for ADALINE

Veteran rom-com director Andy Tennant (The Bounty Hunter) and veteran rom-com star Katherine Heigl (Killers) will be putting their knowledge of the genre to work in the upcoming, no surprises here, rom-com Adaline. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the film “will revolve around a beautiful woman (Heigl) who hasn’t aged for 100 years. Although this doesn’t sound like such a raw deal, as the story goes, Heigl meets a man who may be willing to risk it all to help her regain her mortality.”   How romantic…oh, and funny. Purely speculating, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Heigl realizes she would rather lose her immortality than live forever without a good man to take care of her. I’m also going to guess that this important life lesson will be marketed to girls 13 and under.

Heigl was already attached to star, but when we reported on the movie in May, it was called The Age of Adeline. Co-penned by Mills Goodloe and Sal Pascowitz, Adaline is being co-produced by Lakeshore and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment with production set to begin in early 2011.

Opening in theaters today is director Andy Tennant’s The Bounty Hunter starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler.  The film is the story of two ex’s who find themselves running from convicts after Milo Boyd (Butler) is assigned to take Nicole (Aniston) to jail after she bails on a court date.

To help promote the film, I was recently able to speak with Jennifer Aniston and she talked about how she came to the project, her stunts, working with Gerard Butler, and a lot more.  Hit the jump to check it out:

Opening on March 19 is director Andy Tennant’s The Bounty Hunter.  The film stars Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler and it’s more of an action comedy than a rom com.  Here’s the one liner:

A bounty hunter learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure.

From the synopsis you know what kind of movie this is…but for fans of Jennifer Aniston, they’ll probably eat it up.  Personally, I’m still waiting for Gerard Butler to make another cool rated  R action flick and move away from this romantic stuff.  Hit the jump to check out the clips:

Jason Sudeikis Takes Out a Contract for BOUNTY HUNTER

by Matt Goldberg    Posted: June 17th, 2009 at 8:39 am

jason_sudeikis_01.jpgIn a sane universe, any film called “Bounty Hunter” would be an insane action spectacle with so much testosterone that your body would be forced to overcompensate with estrogen and you would get bitch tits.  You would walk out of the theatre looking like Meat Loaf in “Fight Club”.

But we live in an insane universe and “Bounty Hunter” is a romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler and will probably not make one Boba Fett reference.  Aniston plays Casidy, a woman who jumps bail and Butler plays the hunter who goes after her.  Oh, and she just happens to be his ex-wife.  They may end up falling love again.  Just a wild guess right there.

According to THR, the film has received a little saving grace in the form of “Saturday Night Live’s” Jason Sudeikis who has come on board to play Stewart, a work friend of Casidy who mistakenly thinks he’s her boyfriend and goes off searching for her when she goes missing.  Unfortunately, he’ll soon realize that while he’s funnier that Casidy’s ex-husband/bounty hunter, his tragic flaw is one most of us share: we will never look like Gerard Butler.  You can’t really compete with that bag of handsome.

The film is directed by Andy Tennant (“Fool’s Gold”) and written by Sarah Thorp (“Twisted”) and if you think this film is gonna be great, you’re adorable.  Hopefully, the talented Sudeikis will find himself in some better and more prominent roles in the near-future.
