In our slow but inevitable transformation into a site that only runs The Dark Knight Rises news, we have two more banners for the film in addition to the four we ran yesterday. And to think I would miss the overload of The Avengers marketing. More than anything, I’m just confused: where’s our onslaught of The Amazing Spider-Man advertising? The film comes out two weeks before TDKR, and yet we have gotten zero banners. They may as well stick it in arthouses.
Hit the jump to check out the new banners for The Dark Knight Rises. The film opens July 20th.

Warner Bros. has released nine character banners for Tim Burton‘s comedy Dark Shadows. These banners are much better than the character posters, which made the entire cast look like albinos for some reason.
Hit the jump to check out the banners. The film stars Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloe Moretz, Jackie Earle Haley, Gulliver McGrath, Helena Bonham Carter, Bella Heathcote, Ray Shirley, and Jonny Lee Miller. Dark Shadows opens May 11th.

Marvel has released three new banners and a Japanese poster for The Avengers. The banners each feature a pair of Avengers ready to tear it up (except for Black Widow, who must have noticed a shiny penny on the ground or something). There’s also a new Japanese poster where we see that the Avengers also have some nice, casual clothes for when they like to kick back and relax.

On Monday, Marvel released six character posters for The Avengers. Now, through the magic of Photoshop, Marvel has slightly re-arranged some of the characters and released a new banner for the movie. Thor should probably keep his head up if he’s in the middle of a huge battle, but he’s also a Norse god so may be he can afford to take a little battle-snooze.

Warner Bros. has released two posters and three banners for Wrath of the Titans. There’s no kraken this time around so none of the characters are going to say, “Let’s get kraken.” I know the plot involves the titans getting unleashed and Zeus (Liam Neeson) asking Perseus (Sam Worthington) for some help, but I don’t get the point without kraken puns. Kraken puns make the world go round.
Hit the jump to check out the posters. The film also stars Ralph Fiennes, Danny Huston, Edgar Ramirez, Bill Nighy, Toby Kebbell, and Rosamund Pike. Wrath of the Titans opens in 3D on March 30th.

Marvel has released two new banners for The Avengers. They’re almost identical to the previous banners except a couple of the poses are different and there isn’t a giant “A” covering the superheroes and Loki (still no love for S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders)). But the kids love The Avengers so I’ve put the new banners after the jump. The film opens in 3D on May 4, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Mark Ruffalo.

Marvel has released a new banner for The Avengers. The banner is really just a collection of four character posters, so it will probably be split up at some point. It’s neat to see Mark Ruffalo starting to go a little Hulk, but I’m not sure why Captain America’s new helmet is so shiny. However, I do like that he can throw his shield and check for B.O. at the same time. Every superhero needs to be able to multitask.
Hit the jump to check out the larger version of the banner. The film also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Cobie Smulders. The Avengers opens in 3D on May 4, 2012. [Update: We've added another banner showcasing Nick Fury (Jackson), Loki (Hiddleston), Hawkeye (Renner), and Black Widow (Johansson)]

Warner Bros. has released four more character banners for Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. There’s nothing particularly eye-catching about them, but for this movie WB could throw up a 27″ x 40″ poster reading: “Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law return to play Sherlock and Watson and you liked when they did that the last time.” I’m also a bit curious as to why these posters have the characters standing in flames. The characters look like they don’t know they’re standing in flames. The flames aren’t crazy, but they’re still flames. You don’t want to stand in them.
Hit the jump to check out the banners. The film also stars Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry, and Jared Harris. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opens December 16th.

Back in August, the red-band trailer for director David Gordon Green’s The Sitter went online and I found myself wondering if foul-mouthed babysitters such as the one portrayed by Jonah Hill really exist. Fast-forward to the present and 20th Century Fox has not only assured me that they do exist, but has also given me a number where I can reach them.
In a new promotional banner for the film, you have Hill’s mug on a flyer (seen above) with a contact number listed below. While the imagery is cool enough given the film’s subject matter, rumor has it that Hill will occasionally be answering the line found by dialing (917) 409-7838. I gave the number a ring myself and got the voicemail for Hill’s character Noah, so I can’t confirm that anyone will ever actually answer your call. Nevertheless, I think it’s kind of a cool promotion that definitely caught my attention. Check out the banner after the jump. Also starring Sam Rockwell and Ari Graynor, The Sitter hits theaters later this year on December 9th.

Warner Bros. has released a new banner for director Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern. Even though its more or less a panoramic view of an already released Green Lantern poster, the slick art is still worth a second of your time. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Angela Bassett, and Tim Robbins, Green Lantern hits 3D theaters on June 17. Hit the jump to check out the banner in all of its giant-sized glory. In case you missed it, make sure you click here to check out the solid new trailer released less than a week ago.

With its May 26th release quickly approaching, Warner Bros. has released a new promotional banner for The Hangover Part II. While I’ve been known to be somewhat critical of the film’s trailer and television spots, I have to say that I enjoy any promotional materials that play up both Ken Jeong and the monkey (not trying to be disrespectful, I truly don’t know his name). Considering both are included here, this new banner is okay in my book.
Hit the jump to check it out. To peruse all of our previous coverage of The Hangover Part II, click here. Directed by Todd Phillips, The Hangover Part II stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Ken Jeong, Jamie Chung, and Justin Bartha.

Earlier today, we showed you a new banner featuring Bumblebee in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Now another banner has gone online featuring the film’s villain, Shockwave. That’s right: Decepticons gets banners too. There’s no discrimination here.
Hit the jump to check out the new banner along with the previous banners for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Who wants to take bets that we’ll also get one featuring Sentinel Prime? Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D on July 1st.

Paramount has released a new poster for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The poster is similar to one of Optimus Prime released last week.
Hit the jump to check out the poster. Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, Alan Tudyk, and John Turturro. The film opens in 3D on July 1st.

Dark of the Moon. The banner is impressive not because it shows new characters or hints at the story. It’s impressive simply because it has Optimus Prime wielding a high-tech chain-gun, a massive blade, and looking straight at the viewer as if to say, “Yeah, that’s right: I’ve got weapons on both my arms. You’re going to show up whether there’s a story here or not.”
Hit the jump to check out the banner. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, Alan Tudyk, and John Turturro. Marvel has released two new posters for Kenneth Branagh’s Thor. Taking a turn away from the previous posters of “Tall bearded man holds mallet”, these new posters give audiences what they really want: words over the actors’ faces. Yes, whether you’re white, old, female, or black, the word “Thor” makes the perfect addition to your gigantic mug.
Hit the jump to check out the posters. Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg, and Colm Feore. The film opens in 3D on May 6th.
