Almost a year ago, Summit Entertainment premiered the first promo poster for director Bill Condon‘s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. So it makes sense that at this year’s show, Summit would premiere the first poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. For those unaware, CinemaCon is a convention put on for theater owners in order to get a look at what the studios have to offer for the rest of the year, and where vendors can show new products for theaters to buy; it’s basically Comic-Con for theater owners. Besides showing off never before seen footage, the studios often bring the cast and the filmmakers. Over the course of a few days, Hollywood comes to Las Vegas.
While I’m sure Twilight fans would love to see a great photo of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on the first poster, it’s just like last year in that it’s just the logo, the date, and info about the website on the bottom. Hit the jump to check it out and look for tons of new posters and our reporting from CinemaCon every day this week.

As I write today, in the back of mind rests more than a handful of permutations for my Black Friday plan of attack. Do I really need a new 42 inch HDTV? How about various seasons of television on DVD/Blu-ray for rock bottom prices? What about one of those sweet Dyson vacuum cleaners with the roller ball? The answer to all of the above is most likely a resounding “no”, but need isn’t what Black Friday is all about. Not even close. Black Friday is all about getting something/anything on the cheap if for no other reason than because if you don’t, then the person behind you in line will. Oh, America. How I love thee.
In this week’s “Top 5″ installment you’ll find our set visit coverage for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, our review and interviews for a little movie you may have heard about called The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, the first trailer for director Tarsem Singh’s Snow White-tale Mirror Mirror, a new trailer for Gary Ross’ The Hunger Games adaptation, and Steve’s coverage from his visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Hit the jump for a brief recap and link to each.

With Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hitting theaters tomorrow at midnight, it’s time for our final interview and it’s with director Bill Condon. During my exclusive interview, Condon talked about how he got involved in the franchise, what props he took home, whether or not he did any test screenings, if the DVD/Blu-ray will have an extended edition, deleted scenes, the Easter eggs (you should stay through the credits), Bella’s transformation, and his future projects. In addition, Condon revealed that his first cut of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was 2 hours 14 minutes and now it’s about 1 hour 52 minutes without credits. Hit the jump to watch.

Summit has sent over 5 clips from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, the fourth movie in the five-part Twilight series. In Breaking Dawn, “Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), plus those they love, must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon, and the tumultuous birth of a child… which brings an unforeseen and shocking development for Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).”
Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz also star. Directed by Bill Condon, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18th. Watch the clips after the break and look for new interviews with the cast later this week.

Last week, Summit released some behind-the-scenes footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. It was a little over two minutes and it showed Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon working through a number of scenes when the production was still filming. If you enjoyed the footage from last week you’ll want to hit the jump, as we’ve been provided with another two or so minutes of additional behind-the-scenes footage. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens on November 18.

Hot on the heels of the first TV spots for the film, a new featurette for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has gone online. The featurette includes Kristen Stewart uncomfortably discussing aspects of the film like marriage and vampire babies. Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner also appear to discuss their characters as well, interspersed with some behind-the-scenes footage. The second half of the video is entirely made up of behind-the-scenes clips, like Lautner running shirtless in the rain (this guy really hates clothes). It’s nothing too mind-blowing, but odds are if you’re a fan of the series this featurette will pique your interest.
Hit the jump to watch the featurette. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also stars Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen and Kellan Lutz, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens on November 18th.

A new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has landed online. Directed by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters), the pic stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen and Kellan Lutz. In case you haven’t bothered keeping up, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 marks the penultimate installment in the franchise which is good news for fans and foes of the franchise alike.
As for the trailer? What can I possibly say about the Twilight franchise that its millions of fans haven’t heard and completely disregarded before? The acting is weak, the action looks cheesy, the writing is most likely contrived, blah, blah, blah, it’s going to make a ton of money. I had held out hope that Condon’s involvement would bring a touch of credibility to Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and while that may still be the case, I’m not seeing it in these 2:30. Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens on November 18th.

Earlier this morning, before taking the stage in Hall H at Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon sat down with a huge group of reporters and answered a ton of questions about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. In the next hour or so we’ll have the full transcript and a proper intro, but for now, hit the jump to watch the entire press conference or listen to the audio. They talked about the challenges of making the final two movies, their favorite scenes, and a lot more. In addition, I was in the front row, so the video is pretty good. Hope you like.
[Update: We've added the full transcript after the jump.]

The first footage from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has been released, and it’s epically epic in its epicness. Okay, so it’s not. But MTV has decided to play big choir-led action music over cut shots of a wedding. Granted, it’s Bella and Edward and I’m sure fans of the books will enjoy this much more than I, but it still feels more than a little overblown. Nevertheless, stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are set to present the entire sneak peek footage at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, which airs on Sunday June 5th. Hit the jump to watch a sneak peek for the sneak peek. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hits theaters on November 8th.

Summit Entertainment has released the first official teaser poster for director Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. While I’m sure fans were hoping for a cool image of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, they’re going to be stuck with some clouds and the day the movie is coming out. However, with this poster getting released, I’d wager the first trailer will be hitting soon. Hit the jump to check it out. The next chapter in the Twilight saga opens November 18th.

Following the slew of new images that were released the other day from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, yet another still from the film has hit the web today. This time, we see Bella stroking Edward’s chest ever-so-gently, all the while showing off her shiny new wedding ring.
Hit the jump to see Bella bling-blingin’ (alliteration!). The film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is set to open November 18th.

Images have been leaking from the set of Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Almost every major production has to deal with leaks. Sometimes the filmmakers shrug and accept the leaks and hope that they’ll raise interest in the project. Other times, a production (usually one that already has plenty of publicity and fan interest) goes into lockdown and attempts to get sites to remove said images. Our policy at Collider is to run unofficial images, but we’ll always take them down at the request of the studio and/or filmmaker.
Condon, producer Wyck Godfrey, author Stephanie Meyer, and studio Summit Entertainment are pleading with sites to not show the leaked images from the upcoming film and for fans to stop passing these images around. I don’t know if fans will acquise, but I for one am more than happy to not show anyone anything from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Hit the jump for a statement from the filmmakers.

When dealing with a franchise that incites hysteria on the level of The Twilight Saga, it’s best to ease into the filmic reveal, as Summit is doing with Breaking Dawn. First a photo from the set for Christmas. Turn up the heat with a sexy still of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Then simmer down with the image we have today: a photo from Isle Esme, the picturesque site of Bella and Edward’s honeymoon.
Check out the high-res image and official synopsis after the jump.

I have been charmed by Bill Condon’s approach to the task of directing both parts of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Condon started the treacherous journey of filming two films back to back with a gracious note to fans. He has updated along the way, including another note to gush over his impressive crew and a feathery photo from the set this Thanksgiving.
Well, another holiday, another image: Condon has tweeted a photo of the Swan household decorated for Christmas. Those familiar with the books know that this very well may be an early look at Breaking Dawn Part 2. Hit the jump to see the full image.
I’ll admit I’ve never read the Twilight books. However, I do know how to read the comments on a twitpic, so I’ve learned the first image director Bill Condon has released from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is a great one for fans of the book. While the above photo (click for a bigger version) is just a girl’s hand holding feathers, according to the comments I’ve read, the feathers give away the fact that it’s from Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edwards (Robert Pattinson) honeymoon on Isle Esme. As one commenter put it:
Bella’s arm + bed + feathers = SEX SCENE = Edward + Bella = Renesmee
As I said, the fans seem very excited after Condon released this image. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 gets released November 18, 2011 and Part 2 is November 16, 2012.
