While we have a lot of great writers on Collider, I’ve decided to locate a Twilight super fan to review our copy of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 on Blu-ray. I’m not looking for someone who thinks it’s the greatest movie ever made, and I’m not looking for someone who hates it either. I’m trying to find someone who loves the books and the films and can do an objective review while also writing about all the special features, commentaries, and the extra things on the Blu-ray. If you think you’ve got what it takes, hit the jump:

As I write today, in the back of mind rests more than a handful of permutations for my Black Friday plan of attack. Do I really need a new 42 inch HDTV? How about various seasons of television on DVD/Blu-ray for rock bottom prices? What about one of those sweet Dyson vacuum cleaners with the roller ball? The answer to all of the above is most likely a resounding “no”, but need isn’t what Black Friday is all about. Not even close. Black Friday is all about getting something/anything on the cheap if for no other reason than because if you don’t, then the person behind you in line will. Oh, America. How I love thee.
In this week’s “Top 5″ installment you’ll find our set visit coverage for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, our review and interviews for a little movie you may have heard about called The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, the first trailer for director Tarsem Singh’s Snow White-tale Mirror Mirror, a new trailer for Gary Ross’ The Hunger Games adaptation, and Steve’s coverage from his visit to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando. Hit the jump for a brief recap and link to each.

With Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hitting theaters tomorrow at midnight, it’s time for our final interview and it’s with director Bill Condon. During my exclusive interview, Condon talked about how he got involved in the franchise, what props he took home, whether or not he did any test screenings, if the DVD/Blu-ray will have an extended edition, deleted scenes, the Easter eggs (you should stay through the credits), Bella’s transformation, and his future projects. In addition, Condon revealed that his first cut of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 was 2 hours 14 minutes and now it’s about 1 hour 52 minutes without credits. Hit the jump to watch.

With director Bill Condon’s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 hitting theaters November 18, Summit Entertainment has sent over 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage (B-Roll) from when they were making the movie. If you wish you could have been on the set to watch Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the cast goof around in between shots, you’ll enjoy the footage. In addition to the cast looking at monitors and having fun, you can watch Condon direct the actors and see behind-the-scenes footage from the wedding and the honeymoon. Hit the jump to watch and look for new interviews with the cast tomorrow.

Summit has released a new featurette for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. The featurette focuses on the wedding between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), and as Pattinson so eloquently puts it, “it’s a relatively momentous moment.” I’m sure Twilight fans will fawn over the wedding scene, and I’m always a fan of seeing an 18-year-old marry a 500-year-old vampire.
Hit the jump to check out the featurette. The film also stars Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18th.

Yesterday, we posted some behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. Today, Summit Entertainment has released seven new images from the film. They look exactly as you’d expect a Twilight movie to look at this point. I haven’t read the book, but in the image above it looks like Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) has spilled cranberry juice on his shirt. It’s tragic because he loved that shirt like no one has loved a shirt in human history.
Hit the jump to check out the images (although one of them appears to be just a headshot of Taylor Lautner, but I would love it if that was an actual shot from the movie). The film also stars Kristen Stewart, Kellan Lutz, and Ashley Greene. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18th. According to the ArcLight Cinemas website, it will be 117 minutes long.

A new trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 has landed online. Directed by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters), the pic stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Anna Kendrick, Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen and Kellan Lutz. In case you haven’t bothered keeping up, Breaking Dawn – Part 1 marks the penultimate installment in the franchise which is good news for fans and foes of the franchise alike.
As for the trailer? What can I possibly say about the Twilight franchise that its millions of fans haven’t heard and completely disregarded before? The acting is weak, the action looks cheesy, the writing is most likely contrived, blah, blah, blah, it’s going to make a ton of money. I had held out hope that Condon’s involvement would bring a touch of credibility to Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and while that may still be the case, I’m not seeing it in these 2:30. Check out the trailer for yourself after the jump. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens on November 18th.

Summit has released two new teaser posters for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. We get one poster featuring Bella and Edward in a romantic embrace, and the other poster features Jacob all alone and sad-looking. Both posters are branded with the logically impossible tagline “Forever is only the beginning.” Directed by Bill Condon, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga- Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18. Hit the jump to see the posters.

The cover for Entertainment Weekly’s Fall Preview Issue has been unveiled, much to the delight of Twihards the world over. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart grace the cover providing some much-needed publicity for the relatively unknown drama The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. The image finds Pattinson and Stewart all wet underneath a waterfall, with Pattinson doing his best “I hope I don’t eat her” face.
Hit the jump to see the EW cover, and if you missed Matt’s recap of the film’s Comic-Con panel click here. Directed by Bill Condon, the film stars Pattinson, Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18th.
[Update: We've updated the article with two more images from the movie after the jump]

Earlier this morning, before taking the stage in Hall H at Comic-Con, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon sat down with a huge group of reporters and answered a ton of questions about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. In the next hour or so we’ll have the full transcript and a proper intro, but for now, hit the jump to watch the entire press conference or listen to the audio. They talked about the challenges of making the final two movies, their favorite scenes, and a lot more. In addition, I was in the front row, so the video is pretty good. Hope you like.
[Update: We've added the full transcript after the jump.]

One of the major reasons that the San Diego Comic-Con has become a madhouse is that the studios have made it their own. People camp out in Hall H just to see a little bit of footage from an upcoming film and to see their favorite stars quasi-up-close-and-personal. But while studios try to use the potential buzz from the Con as a spring-board, that doesn’t necessarily carry to the box office. Universal couldn’t have done a better job promoting Scott Pilgrim vs. The World at Comic-Con but it was considered a box office flop. Kick-Ass flew on to people’s radar at Comic-Con with a killer presentation, but again: lackluster box office. TRON: Legacy went to Comic-Con three times and it didn’t cross the $200 million mark domestically (and anyone who tells you that wasn’t a serious goal for Disney is lying). And while box office doesn’t matter to me personally, it matters a lot to studio shareholders and executives. But the studios are starting to get wise to the cost of running a serious campaign at Comic-Con and how the risks are starting to outweigh the potential benefits. Hit the jump for more and to learn who’s coming to Comic-Con and who’s not.

The first trailer The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 has hit the net. In the first half of the final chapter of the Twilight series, “the newfound married bliss of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is cut short when a series of betrayals and misfortunes threatens to destroy their world.” Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Michael Sheen, and Dakota Fanning star under the direction of Bill Condon (Dreamgirls). The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 opens November 18. Watch the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think in the comments.

Steve is currently at CinemaCon (formerly known as ShoWest) and he just snapped a photo of the promo poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.
Hit the jump to check out the promo poster and click here to see images of the other posters Steve took photos of while at CinemaCon including a new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 poster. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Anna Kendrick, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen, and Dakota Fanning. Directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls), the film is set to open on November 18th.

This is the sexiest business document I’ve ever seen. I mean, your small business loan proposal has zero references to Twilight. But when Summit Entertainment puts together a prospectus to borrow $750 million in capital, they understandably tout the success of their flagship franchise. Notably, the studio expects $1.2 billion in revenues from both parts of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. (The last Twilight movie, Eclipse, earned $698 million worldwide.)
Most of this prospectus has been leaked online despite the “Confidential” watermark, and it’s fascinating to see the cash flow and business structure laid out in such detail for movie studios. Graphs and things after the jump:

When dealing with a franchise that incites hysteria on the level of The Twilight Saga, it’s best to ease into the filmic reveal, as Summit is doing with Breaking Dawn. First a photo from the set for Christmas. Turn up the heat with a sexy still of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Then simmer down with the image we have today: a photo from Isle Esme, the picturesque site of Bella and Edward’s honeymoon.
