Twentieth Century Fox and IDW Publishing are going to introduce a new A-Team comic book series that will act as a prequel to the movie coming to theatres June 11.  Slated to begin shipping in March, the comic book series will provide the back story for the characters in the film and documents several of the team’s first missions.

There will be two series, the first is War Stories, and it’ll feature four stand-alone, bi-weekly issues that each focus on a different member of the team, offering details of their Desert Storm adventures as Army Rangers before each joins The A-Team. The second, also starting in March, is A-Team: Shotgun Wedding, a bi-weekly four issue series, will show you the team’s missions after they officially formed The A-Team.  What’s cool about this one is it was co-plotted by director Joe Carnahan.  And if you miss out on the individual issues, each series will also be collected into individual graphic novels, available in May.
