As you may have noticed, we’ve been a bit flooded with content for the past week thanks in no small part to Comic-Con 2011. We’ve been posting our full-scale coverage from the convention (I’m still trying to catch up on sleep), which has included a large number of interviews. We know some of you might have missed a few of these interviews, so we’ve compiled a sort of “catch up” list of 10 that we thought you might enjoy.

At this year’s Comic-Con, I got to talk to someone whose work I’ve loved for a very long time: Patrick Stewart.  While many Star Trek fans debate which show was the best, I’ve always thought Star Trek: The Next Generation was the one that got everything right, and I’ve watched every episode at least a few times.  Trust me, if you had seen my face while doing this interview, you’d have thought I’d won a million dollars.

The reason Stewart was at his first Comic-Con is the movie Dorothy of Oz.  In the upcoming animated film, Stewart will voice a character named Tugg (you can watch him talk about the character here).  During the interview, Stewart talked about his love of animated films, making Dorothy of Oz, being at Comic-Con for the first time, how you can get him to record his voice for an answering machine message, when he looks back on his experience filming Star Trek: TNG what’s the one thing he remembers, has he seen X-Men: First Class and J.J. Patrick Stewart Talks about His Character “Tugg” in the 3D CG-Animated Musical DOROTHY OF OZ; Making First Comic-Con Appearance

Patrick Stewart adds gravitas to anything he does.  That’s why he’s so funny when he does something like Extras or Family Guy.  Stewart will be bringing his unmistakable voice to the upcoming 3D CG-animated musical Dorothy of Oz and we’re happy to announce that he’ll be making his first Comic-Con appearance on Saturday, July 23rd in Hall H at 4:30-5:30.

In addition, we have exclusive video of him speaking about his character “Tugg”.  Stewart also talks about working again with fellow voice actors Kelsey Grammer and Martin Short and what he finds so appealing about animation and Dorothy of Oz in particular.  Hit the jump to check out the exclusive video.  The producers of the film are Summertime Entertainment, Ryan Carroll, Roland Carroll and Bonne Radford.  Dorothy of Oz is set to arrive sometime in 2012.

Comic-Con 2011: Schedule for Saturday, July 23rd; Includes Francis Ford Coppola’s TWIXT, Universal’s SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN and COMMUNITY

The Saturday schedule for Comic-Con has been released, and it looks to be a very big day for TV fans. However, Hall H will be having a fairly light day, with the highest profile panels being Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman and Tarsem Singh’s Immortals. Other films taking up shop in Hall H on Saturday include Francis Ford Coppola’s Twixt, the comedy-fantasy Knights of Badassdom, the animated film Dorothy of Oz, and wrapping things up will be “An Early Evening with Kevin Smith.”

TV highlights include Chuck, Terra Nova, Being Human, Futurama, The Simpsons, Community, Family Guy, American Dad, Adventure Time, Once Upon a Time, The Vampire Diaries, The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra, Grimm (includes pilot screening), Fringe, Charlie’s Angels, The Secret Circle, Alcatraz (includes pilot screening), Teen Wolf, Nikita, Good Vibes, Person of Interest (includes pilot screening), and Mythbusters. New Posters for DOROTHY OF OZ and THE BEAVER

New posters have gone online for the animated film Dorothy of Oz and Jodie Foster’s The Beaver.  The poster for Dorothy of Oz can be considered a long-lead teaser that lets audiences know who is voicing the film.  However, the 3D animated musical isn’t due out until 2012.  As for The Beaver, the new poster shows that in Argentina, it will be called “The Double Life of Walter”.

Hit the jump to check out both posters.  Dorothy of Oz features the voices of Lea Michele, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, and Patrick Stewart.  The Beaver stars Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Anton Yelchin, and Jennifer Lawrence.  The film hits theaters in limited release on May 6th.

We have found some pretty cool concept art for Dorothy of Oz, an upcoming 3D animated musical feature based on the classic L. Frank Baum children’s novels.  The voice cast is led by Glee‘s Lea Michele as Dorothy Gale, with the likes of Oliver Platt, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, and Patrick Stewart supporting.  I’ve always been a fan of early glimpses into the animation process: check out a comparison of the sketch of nine different characters and the actor who will bring them to life after the jump.

The upcoming 3D animated film Dorothy of Oz has made a very smart casting decision by having Glee star Lea Michele provide the lead voice in their animated-musical family film.  It’s not just smart because Michele is an amazing singer.  It’s smart because Glee is one of the hottest shows on television right now and studios should be rushing to pick up any star from the show as fast as possible.  The actor or actress won’t be able to open a movie on their own, but if paired with the right project and with a fairly talented ensemble, it could really help garner attention to a project.

The fairly talented ensemble backing up Michele includes Oliver Platt, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, and Patrick Stewart.  The film is also launching an interactive teaser website at dorothyofoz.com.  Hit the jump to check out the press release.  And for our previous coverage of the film at the American Film Market, click here.
