LOST Season 5 Blu-ray Review

Most everyone except Emile De Ravin’s Claire Littleton returns for Season Five of Lost. Even some of the dead ones. To that point, when Season Five opens Locke (Terry O’Quinn) is introduced in a coffin and yet spends most of the rest of the season walking around alive (?). Some members of lost flight have returned to the real world, including Dr. Jack Shepherd (Mathew Fox), Hurley (Jorge Garcia) and Kate (Evangeline Lily), while others still stuck on the island are lost in time, with Sawyer (Josh Holloway) settling into the Dharma institute as one of its head security agents. Everything is in chaos, and it looks like those who left the island must return to salve the time-jumping. My review of Season Five of Lost on Blu-ray after the jump.

Summit 2010 Preview: Synopses and Images from THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, FURRY VENGEANCE, REMEMBER ME, THE GHOSTWRITER, and More

Summit Entertainment has released synopses and some first look images from their 2010 films and it’s all after the jump.  They’re 2010 preview includes The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, directed by David Slade (Hard Candy) and starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Bryce Dallas Howard; Furry Vengeance, directed by Roger Kumble (College Road Trip) and starring Brendan Fraser and Brooke Shields; Letters to Juliet, directed by Gary Winick (Bride Wars) and starring Amanda Seyfried, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Vanessa Redgrave; Remember Me, directed by Allen Coulter (Hollywoodland) and starring Robert Pattinson, Emile de Ravin, Chris Cooper, and Pierce Brosnan; and The Ghostwriter, directed by Roman Polanski (Chinatown) and starring Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Wilkinson, Kim Cattrall, Olivia Williams, and Eli Wallach.

Also, while they didn’t release any images, they did provide the first synopsis for Red, which is directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan) and stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and Mary Louise Parker.

Trailer for REMEMBER ME Starring Robert Pattinson, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper

I can’t help but laugh that the trailer for Remember Me starts with Robert Pattinson’s character quoting Ghandi before getting into a fist-fight.  I’m not exactly sure what the point of the film is other than Pattinson is a rebel without a cause and people beat him up a lot.  I’ll admit that Pattinson good looking and the camera loves him when he looks like a real person and not an albino with orange contact lenses.  He’s obviously trying to find a career beyond Twilight, but I’m not sure another dramatic romance movie where only a good woman can mend his broken soul is going to accomplish that.

LOST Season 1 and 2 Blu-ray Reviews – Dellamorte Had Not Watched LOST Until a Week Ago

Until a week ago, I had never seen more than thirty seconds of Lost. There’s a good reason for this: I don’t watch TV. That’s not because I’m a snob, it’s because I always have a pile of movies to watch. And as that is the case, making time to watch television has always been a luxury I’ve denied myself. So, with that in mind there’s going to be two types of people reading this. People like me who never watched the show, and those who are religious about it, or got turned off at some point. I will gear the first part of the review for those who haven’t seen it and the second part for those who have. It’s all after the jump:

Robert Pattinson Wants Emile de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper to REMEMBER ME

I know all the “Twilight” fangirls have “Robert Pattinson” set down in their Google Alerts.  One of these days, traffic is going to be really slow and for shits and giggles I’m going to write a story called “Robert Pattinson” and the headline will be “Robert Pattinson” and the text of the story will simply have the words “Robert Pattinson” and then I’ll show a picture of Robert Davi.  This will amuse me.

But today I can report really news related to Pattinson.  According to Variety, Emile de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, and Chris Cooper will co-star with Pattinson in Allen Coulter’s “Remember Me”.  I was planning to use this title for my documentary on the desperation of reality TV stars, but Coulter wishes to tell the story of a man (Pattinson) whose brother’s suicide has split up his parents (Brosnan and possibly Lena Olin) and left him sleepwalking through life. De Ravin will play a young woman who, after watching her mother get killed before her eyes, seizes life to its fullest.  Chris Cooper is in talks to play her father.  I don’t understand why more actors wouldn’t want to be involved in this laugh riot.  I always say that if audiences don’t leave wanting to ask their doctor about anti-depressants, then your film has failed.
