In case you weren’t aware, 20th Century Fox made a Marmaduke movie, and they assembled a pretty sizable cast to star/be voice actors in the film. Here’s the list: Emma Stone, Judy Greer, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kiefer Sutherland, Owen Wilson, Sam Elliott, Fergie (Stacy Ferguson), William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Steve Coogan and George Lopez.
While the film is clearly aimed at families and especially kids, with the cast featured, I thought some of you might want to check out some footage from the June 4th release. Hit the jump for 6 clips and the full synopsis.

Maybe I’m just old-fashioned but I believe that a musical needs, above all else, good music. Direction, performances, production design, and choreography (if applicable) are all important, but a musical lives and dies with its songs. Nine dies and it’s a long, excruciating death as we follow mopish director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis) suffering from writer’s block and depending on all the women in his life while providing nothing in return. Eventually, “Nine” no longer represents Frederico Fellini’s “8 ½ plus music”, but a countdown to how many forgettable numbers you’ll have to endure before the movie ends.

You’ve probably been waiting with baited breath for more news on the Marmaduke movie ever since Matt reported on it back in November, and the teaser trailer is finally here. The movie, based on the comic strip about a lovable Great Dane, stars Owen Wilson as the voice of the titular dog. Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, and Marlon Wayans will supply additional voices, while Judy Greer, Lee Pace, and William H. Macy will play the roles of Marmaduke’s family.
The trailer is about what you’d expect. Although, I did chuckle at the nonsensical pop culture reference that opens the trailer. And I think I could get behind a talking dog movie where the talking dog breaks the fourth wall, if that style continues beyond the trailer. With a stellar cast, if there’s any chance this movie could be good, I’m all for it. Form your own thoughts after the jump. Marmaduke is slated to hit theaters on June 4, 2010.

With only 19 days left until it hits theaters, Nine has a new trailer which finally goes beyond sex, cinematography, and accolades (which won me over), and attempts to present as many characters as possible as well as the conflicts of the main character, Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis). It gets to just about everyone in the cast except Fergie and Sophia Loren, so let me help out with that right now: Loren plays Guido’s mother and Fergie plays the whore from his youth. I’m not sure why they didn’t try to explain those roles, but it does accomplish a lot within the span of two and a half minutes so head over to Apple and check it out.
Nine hits theaters on December 18th. Hit the jump for a brief synopsis.
