This is it, folks-the moment you’ve all been waiting for! We’ve followed the Harmons from day one as they picked up their dysfunctional lives back in Boston and set their sights on familial rehabilitation in Los Angeles. What Ben (Dylan McDermott), Vivien (Connie Britton) and Violet (Taissa Farmiga) found was much, much more than they bargained for; as viewers, we can say the same. In what could have easily been a one-note series about a family living in a haunted house, American Horror Story used that device to explore social relationships, psychological trauma, and grisly moments in Hollywood history all while giving us memorable, complex characters and a helluva good time. If you’ve missed out on the fun that is Brad Falchuk and Ryan Murphy’s (Glee and Nip/Tuck) twisted creation, check out all of our previous recaps here. For the AHS initiated, hit the jump for my recap of season one’s final episode, “Afterbirth,” as well as my retrospective.

ALL-STAR SUPERMAN Cover Art and Info

by Bill Graham    Posted: November 29th, 2010 at 4:07 pm

While covering the panel for Batman: Under the Red Hood at Comic-Con, I stumbled upon the announcement that Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s highly praised All-Star Superman storyline would be made into a full-length animated feature. Now we have the full cast listing and the date you can expect to see the Eisner award-winning storyline brought to life: February 22, 2011. Among the talented cast assembled to voice the icons are James Denton (Desperate Housewives) as Superman, Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) as Lois Lane, Anthony LaPaglia (Without A Trace) as Lex Luthor, and Ed Asner (Up) as Perry White. As you can see, they have quite a cast for the film and having read the comic it’s based on after picking it up at the convention, I now understand why it received wild applause when it was announced. Hit the jump for my brief impressions and the full press release, including what to expect on the home video release in terms of special features.

Love Happens movie image Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston - slice (1).jpg

Opening September 18th is the latest Jennifer Aniston dramedy “Love Happens”. The only reason I’m willing to give this a chance is her co-star is Aaron Eckhart. He’s a good actor and he’s always been super nice when doing interviews. But if he wasn’t in it…

Anyway, while this genre isn’t my thing, for many of you out there, this is why you go to the movies. And really…who am I to judge, as you probably wonder why I get super excited for any sci-fi film. So if you’re curious, after the jump are 5 clips from the film, along with the synopsis. Take a look.
