There was a sense in 2007 that we were never going to get The Larry Sanders Show in its entirety on DVD. Sony was struggling to get the music rights and so they put out the first season on DVD and then a “best of” that harvested 23 (out of 89) of the show’s greatest episodes, while also getting star Gary Shandling to host some of the most amazing Q&A’s ever produced for DVD. Leave it to The Shout Factory! – those artists of TV box sets – who cleared all the red tape so we can now have the complete six-season, eighty-nine episode run in a gorgeous box set that includes all previous supplements, and adds new content.
Gary Shandling stars as Larry Sanders, a talk show host dealing with the passive aggression of Hollywood, and his support staff – with producer Artie (Rip Torn) and sidekick Hank Kingsley (Jeffery Tambor) his main collaborators. The show follows the last six years of the show as it goes from being a reasonably successful late night talk show spot, to one where the network is looking for a younger voice, with that voice being Jon Stewart. That Stewart plays himself shows how much the show blended reality and comedy. My review of The Larry Sanders Show: The Complete Series on DVD after the jump.

Like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) says, “It’s good to be back.” When Iron Man was released in May 2008, it was the anti-Dark Knight. Irreverent and action-packed, Iron Man stripped away the Nietzsche and gave audiences a fun superhero film in a glossy red and gold finish. In the two years since, anticipation for the sequel has grown and will likely reach a fever pitch by the time Iron Man 2 hits theaters May 7th. Adding fuel to the fire is the first full-length trailer for the film, embedded after the jump. Expanding on the first teaser trailer, this one fleshes out the plot and gives more screen time to Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Whiplash (Mickey Rourke), War Machine (Don Cheadle) and Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell). While the trailer features Stark’s trademark quips, the best line belongs to Whiplash. He posits, “If you could make God bleed, people would cease to believe in him.” Find out Iron Man’s response after the jump and see 15 new high resolution images taken from the trailer:

Entertainment Tonight has posted their “Iron Man 2″ set visit and you can watch it after the jump. If you’re a fan of the franchise and have been reading about the movie, you’re not going to get too much out of this report. However, there are a few new shots that are worth checking out like Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downey Jr. in Tony Stark’s home and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash attacking Tony Stark’s car at the racetrack. But the set visit is mostly the cast talking about how they got ready for the film and what’s new in the sequel. Watch the video after the jump:
