THE HOST Giveaway: Win a Signed Copy of Stephenie Meyer’s Book

The feature adaptation of The Host doesn’t hit theaters until March 29, 2013, but Stephenie Meyer‘s bestselling book dropped in 2008, so we have the material for a very early giveaway that should appeal to the many Twilight/Meyer fans out there.  Here’s the official logline:

DARK SHADOWS Giveaway

It’s most definitely Avengers week around the fan community, and those of you who are Avengers-inclined will find this particular giveaway of interest.  We’ve been provided with five Black Widow LEGO Minifigures to give to a few lucky readers.  The minifigure comes as part of the Avengers LEGO Quinjet Aerial Battle set, and Black Widow is a special item because she is only available as part of the complete set.  It’s actually a pretty cool figure, as Widow has two different faces so you can choose which one you’d like to display depending on your mood/feelings towards your other LEGO figures.

THE CABIN IN THE WOODS Giveaway

The Cabin in the Woods, Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon‘s brilliant riff on the horror genre, opens this Friday and you must see it.  It’s one of the best movies of the year, and seeing it will finally allow you to stop ducking spoilers left and right.  You know and I know that once the movie opens it will be almost impossible to go on Facebook or Twitter without some jerk spoiling something, so your best option is to see this flick as soon as possible.

WRATH OF THE TITANS Giveaway

Opening this weekend is director Jonathan Liebesman’s (Battle: Los Angeles) Wrath of the Titans.  In the sequel to Clash of the Titans, Perseus (Sam Worthington) is tasked with stopping the titans and saving Zeus (Liam Neeson) from Hades’ stranglehold (Ralph Fiennes). The film also stars Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy, Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell and Danny Huston.  And for those wondering how the sequel turned out, Wrath of the Titans is what I hoped Clash of the Titans would be.  It’s got a solid story, incredible effects, and the 3D is really well done.  I’ve seen it twice (including IMAX 3D) and it’s definitely recommended.

Win Tickets to the Los Angeles Premiere of CASA DE MI PADRE Starring Will Ferrell

One of the more interesting comedies set for release this year is Casa de mi Padre.  The pic is a Spanish-language comedy, but it stars Will Ferrell as a Mexican rancher who must save his family’s farm while defeating notorious drug lord and winning the hand of the lovely Sonia.  All the previous trailers and clips look absolutely ridiculous in the very best way.  Ferrell is in his element here, and it looks to be a highly entertaining comedy that’s full of action and hilarity.  Furthermore, Ferrell’s supporting cast is excellent, with Gael Garcia Bernal, Diego Luna and Nick Offerman rounding out the ensemble.

PROJECT X Giveaway

With producer Todd Phillips and director Nima Nourizadeh‘s Project X opening next weekend, we’ve been provided with some movie related swag to giveaway to a number of our readers.  The film stars  Thomas Mann, Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor and Alexis Knapp.

As you’ve seen in the trailers, images and clips, Project X is an R-rated feature that follows a group of high school seniors who throw a party that gets way, way out of hand.   I caught an early screening and am happy to report Project X is hysterically funny and absolutely worth checking out next weekend.  There is no way you leave the theater disappointed.  Hit the jump to see what you can win.

With Neveldine/Taylor’s Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance blazing into theaters this weekend, we’ve been provided with some awesome Ghost Rider t-shirts to giveaway to a lot of our readers.  If you remember this year’s Comic-Con, Sony premiered some very cool Ghost Rider posters on the sides of the buildings in San Diego.  While the posters never made it into movie theaters, the studio used the designs on the shirts and they’re great.  Unlike most t-shirts that are printed cheap so the material is thick and cumbersome, Sony spent some money on the shirts so it looks cool and fits great.  Trust me, you want one of these shirts.  Hit the jump for details on how to get one.

Win Tickets to the World Premiere of the HUNGER GAMES in Los Angeles; Plus New Trailer

Surely one of the most anticipated films of 2012 is the feature film adaptation of the first book in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy The Hunger Games. For the uninitiated, The Hunger Games takes place in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem. As a means of reminding Panem’s 12 districts that the country’s government holds all the power, one teenage boy and one teenage girl are randomly selected from each district to participate in a televised fight to the death called “The Hunger Games.” Directed by Gary Ross, the pic stars Jennifer Lawrence as protagonist—and Hunger Games participant—Katniss Everdeen.
