Win Tickets to the World Premiere of the HUNGER GAMES in Los Angeles; Plus New Trailer

Surely one of the most anticipated films of 2012 is the feature film adaptation of the first book in Suzanne Collins’ trilogy The Hunger Games. For the uninitiated, The Hunger Games takes place in the post-apocalyptic country of Panem. As a means of reminding Panem’s 12 districts that the country’s government holds all the power, one teenage boy and one teenage girl are randomly selected from each district to participate in a televised fight to the death called “The Hunger Games.” Directed by Gary Ross, the pic stars Jennifer Lawrence as protagonist—and Hunger Games participant—Katniss Everdeen.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND Giveaway

With director Brad Peyton’s Journey 2: The Mysterious Island opening February 10, we’ve been provided with some Journey 2 movie swag to giveaway to some of our readers.   As the synopsis says, “in this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit Journey to the Center of the Earth, the new 3D family adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island begins when 17-year-old Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS Giveaway

With director Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows opening this weekend, we’ve been provided with a number of Sherlock Holmes related movie swag to giveaway to some of our readers.  As most of you know, the sequel to Sherlock Holmes stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris and Stephen Fry as Holmes’ brother Mycroft.  I caught a screening last week and thought the sequel was a lot of fun and Harris makes a great Professor Moriarty.  Definitely recommended.  Anyway, hit the jump for what you can win and how to enter.

With director Todd-Strauss-Schulson’s A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas opening this weekend, we’ve been given a bunch of movie related swag to giveaway to some of our readers.  We’ve got a “Holiday Munchies” red 12-can cooler, a windup toy WaffleBot, snow globes, an actual waffle maker, and a lot more.  After you see the movie, you’ll really wish the WaflleBot was real.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga hit stores last week, and Collider has a copy of the 9-disc Blu-ray set to giveaway to one lucky reader. Free Tickets to an Advanced Screening of KILLER ELITE in Los Angeles

The action-thriller Killer Elite doesn’t open until September 23, but we’ve been given a limited number of passes to an advanced screening of the film in Los Angeles. Starring Clive Owen, Robert De Niro and Jason Statham, the flick centers on a retired special ops agent (Statham) who is tasked with rescuing his mentor (De Niro). CONTAGION Giveaway

With director Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion opening this weekend, we’ve been given some movie related swag to giveaway to some of our readers.  Starring Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet, Contagion is a “dramatic, multi-layered thriller about what can happen when a lethal airborne virus quickly spreads into a worldwide pandemic.”

I caught an early screening and thought Contagion was extremely well made with great performances, a strong script, fantastic direction, and I even loved the score.  It’s definitely recommended and by the end of the film, you’ll notice every cough and sneeze in the theater.  Hit  the jump for details on the giveaway.

FINAL DESTINATION 5 Giveaway

With Warner Bros. Final Destination 5 hitting theaters this weekend, we’ve been provided with a number of FD5 related items to giveaway.  Included are hats, hand towels, iPhone skins, shot glasses, posters, a duffle bag and more.  Final Destination 5 stars Emma Bell, Nick D’Agosto, Miles Fisher, Arlen Escarpeta, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, P.J. Byrne, Ellen Wroe, Courtney B. Vance, David Koechner, and Tony Todd.

Who Wants Free Tickets to the ATTACK THE BLOCK Screening at Comic-Con?

I’ve raved about Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block, Scott loved it, Steve’s loved it, and plenty of other online writers have cheered it on as well.  And if you don’t like our opinions, the film has picked up accolades at the SXSW and Los Angeles Film Festivals.  I’m not sure how much convincing you need to see this film, but for Comic-Con attendees who can’t wait to see this flick, I’ve got some great news.  Collider will be giving out 5 pairs of tickets to a special Comic-Con screening of the flick. Additionally, you can click here to register for free passes on a first-come, first serve basis, but our winners will be guaranteed seats.  If you do get passes through RSVPing and not directly through us, be sure to show up early as your pass does not guarantee you a seat.
