WonderCon (Comic-Con’s little brother, if you will) moves from San Francisco to Anaheim this year, and a few of the first panels have now been announced. Warner Bros. Television will be hosting panels for Fox’s Alcatraz and Fringe, as well as the special Cartoon Network programming block DC Nation. Stars Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia, Jonny Coyne and Parminder Nagra are poised to appear on the Alcatraz panel alongside executive producers Jennifer Johnson, Daniel Pyne, and Jack Bender. From Fringe, John Nobel, Seth Gabel and executive producers J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner will take part in the panel.
The DC Nation panel will include talent from DC Nation: Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Additionally, the studio will host exclusive screenings for The Secret Circle and Person of Interest. I attended my first WonderCon last year and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. It’ll be interesting to see what talent shows up this year, as the convention is being held much closer to the bigger studios. Hit the jump to read the full Warner Bros. Television press release, which includes details on the panels and signings. Expect more WonderCon 2012 info in the coming weeks as more panels are announced. WonderCon will run from March 16 – March 18th.

This weekend, New York Comic-Con attendees got a first look at the trailer for the upcoming animated feature Justice League: Doom as well as the opening scene from Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I like that Doom is bringing back almost all the voice actors from Justice League, but the trailer is mostly just action scenes and corny one-liners. Also, I didn’t realize the new Legion of Doom is six people, which is kind of dinky when compared to the twenty or thirty featured in Justice League Unlimited. Green Lantern looks more interesting since right from the get-go we’re introduced to members of the Red Lantern Corps. It may be a bit confusing to those who don’t know the character beyond this summer’s disappointing blockbuster, but I assume there will be some kind of exposition in the hour-long premiere.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer and the opening scene. Justice League Doom is due out on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD in early 2012. Green Lantern: The Animated Series premieres November 11th at 7/6c on Cartoon Network.

While DC may not always knock the ball out of the park with their feature film offerings, it’s fairly safe to say that their Animated Television projects have been almost universally hailed as excellent. With the Green Lantern Corps getting the spotlight this summer in a feature film, video game, and direct to home entertainment animated film, DC looks to once again storm TV screens with a new 3D CGI series Green Lantern: The Animated Series destined for Cartoon Network. Comic Con alumnus and DC Animated architect Bruce Timm was joined by series producers Jim Krieg and Giancarlo Volpe in the press room and we were able to talk to all of them. Watch our video interviews after the jump.

Warner Bros. Studios is having a very busy week, but not so busy as to forget a little thing called Comic-Con 2011. Warner Bros. Entertainment will once again be teaming up with the con to sponsor the “Comic-Con International: San Diego Official Bag.” The more than 130,000 bags (available to badge-holders upon check in) will feature official Comic-Con art on one side and one of 10 franchises in the WB/DC universe on the other. Featured titles include Batman: Arkham City, ThunderCats and Fringe. Hit the jump to check them out!
To prevent your arms from getting tired from hauling all your swag around, this year the bags will turn you into a walking advertisement double as backpacks! Personally, I’m willing to stab a guy in the eye for a ThunderCats bag. Knowing my luck, I’ll get The Vampire Diaries. If you guys hear about some black market bag trading going on, be sure to let me know.
