It is a scientific fact that motorcycles make you look cooler.  Also, in the event of a catastrophic event, you will be able to navigate roadways far easier as everyone else is stuck in traffic pretty much waiting to die.  There’s almost nothing you could do to negate the coolness of riding a motorcycle.

Well…there is one thing.  You could dress up like Batman.

Hey Moneybags! Pick up these SCOTT PILGRIM Shirts at San Diego Comic-Con!

“Scott Pilgrim” creator Bryan Lee O’Malley just TwitPic’d the first look at what SP shirts OniPress will be selling this year at San Diego Comic-Con this year.  While I’m already setting aside cash to pick up the one with Scott stuffed inside Ramona’s subspace messenger bag, I have reservations.  You see, I picked up a “Scott Pilgrim” shirt last year and while I dig the design, the “Beefy-Cut” of the shirts makes it really tight in the armpit-region, even in the X-Large size (and I’m not exactly Muscles McGee over here).  What they need is an “Athletic-Cut”.

I lost you at new “Scott Pilgrim” shirts, didn’t I.  Alright, hit the jump to check out a full-sized pic of what you (and I) will be buying at Comic-Con.

Hey Moneybags! Retro-Styled T-shirts From “Wake Up…Time To Die”

For a few years now, “Last Exit to Nowhere” has had the market cornered in hardcore movie-geek shirts.  Oh, there are plenty of stores that will provide you with a shirt with the name of your favorite movie on it, but that’s for other people.  We die-hards want shirts that identify us and each other as those in the know and able to recognize the in-joke the moment we see it.  That’s why “Last Exit” offers up such great shirts like “WGON TV” (Dawn of the Dead), “NWA” (Hot Fuzz), or “Hotel Earle” (Barton Fink) just to name a few.

But now another site (also based in the UK) is offering up some stiff competition.  “Wake Up…Time to Die” has a great selection of shirts in the same vein so if you want folks to know about “J.J. Gittes & Associates” or that you too are now in possession of a machine-gun (have fun wearing that one through airport security), this is the place to start shopping.

Hit the jump to take a look at just a few of the great shirts you’re going to want to add to your closet as soon as you have a steady paycheck again.

Hey Moneybags! LOST: Season 5 DVD Dharma Initiation Kit Limited Edition

Welcome to a new feature we’ll be running on Collider called “Hey Moneybags!” where we point out stuff that you should buy even though the economy sucks and you’re putting ramen noodles on lay-away.

From TVShowsonDVD, they’ve gotten a look at the Limited Edition version of “Lost: The Complete 5th Season” and hoo-boy, it’s something crazy.  Not only do you get some really nice packaging made up as “Dharma Orientation Kit” that looks like it’s been sitting in the jungle for thirty years, what’s included is insane.  There is a VHS tape of the orientation video (best of luck trying to watch that) as well as 5¼ Floppy Diskettes (those shouldn’t be a problem since we all still have our Apple II computers).  Now the package art is subject to change and I don’t know how different the Blu-Ray packaging for this will be (presumably not much), but as far TSoD knows, the features on the DVDs themselves are the same as the regular DVD.

Amazon has the pricing at $119.99 but you can get it right now for $77.99 if you pre-order.  “Lost: The Complete Fifth Season” hits DVD on December 8th.  Hit the jump for a better look at the packaging and start setting aside some cash (do your kids really need to go to college?).
