Aziz Ansari to Host MTV Movie Awards

In a sign that this year’s MTV Movie Awards may be worth watching, comedian Aziz Ansari has come on board to host the ceremony.  While I can almost guarantee all the awards will be going to either New Moon or Avatar, what people talk about are the sketches and the jokes and Ansari kills at both.  His series with Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer, Human Giant (which also aired on MTV), as well as his latest comedy special, Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening, are both hilarious and well worth checking out.

HUMAN GIANT’s Aziz Ansari and Jason Woliner Sell Three Film Pitches to Judd Apatow

It must feel good to be Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation) and Jason Woliner (co-writer/director of Human Giant) right now.  The duo met with Judd Apatow for a breakfast meeting and walked away with a three picture deal.  Universal Pictures and Apatow will produce the projects while Ansari and Woliner will write at least one of them. Meanwhile, Ansari is expected to star in all of the films.  To read what all three films are about, just hit the jump.
