The first images from Seven Psychopaths, Martin McDonagh‘s highly-anticipated follow up to In Bruges, have gone online. The film stars Woody Harrelson as a gangster who goes on a rampage after his beloved shih tzu is kidnapped by an unemployed actor (Sam Rockwell) whose only source of income is helping a professional dognapper (Christopher Walken) who steals dogs and returns them for the reward money (That’s right: McDonagh has basically borrowed the M.O. of Jon Lovitz character from City Slickers 2).  Colin Farrell co-stars as Martin, a struggling screenwriter who tries to help Rockwell’s character, but only gets caught up in the mess, although it gives him great material for his next script, which is called “Seven Psychopaths”.

Hit the jump to check out the images and more info on the flick, which also stars Tom Waits, Gabourey Sidibe, Abbie Cornish, and Olga KurylenkoSeven Psychopaths is due out in theaters this fall.

New Images and Details on ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER

Five new images have been released for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  I’m still waiting for someone to pop out and say, “Ha ha!  We’re just kidding.  This isn’t a real movie.  It’s an Asylum title that was made over the weekend and the cast was paid with promises of Blimpie subs.”  But for the moment, it’s being set up as a summer blockbuster with a goofy title.  I’m eager to get a look at this thing because right now it sounds like a gimmick, and these new photos don’t give much of an indication otherwise.

First Look at Disney’s Video Game-Inspired Movie, WRECK-IT RALPH

This November, Disney Animation Studios will release the video game-inspired Wreck-It Ralph.  The film centers on an 8-bit arcade villain named Wreck-It Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) who grows sick of constantly being viewed as the bad guy, and decides to prove he can be a hero by traveling into other video game worlds.  I love the concept and now some early images from the movie have gone online.  The image with the bug-zapping soldiers is “Hero’s Bounty” and has Ralph meeting Sgt. Calhoun (Jane Lynch).  All of the images look a little simple and untextured, but keep in mind that the movie is still ten months away.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film also features the voices of Sarah Silverman and Jack McBrayer.  Wreck-It Ralph opens November 12th. [Update: We've updated the article with high resolution versions of the images]

7 New Images from JOHN CARTER

I was underwhelmed by last night’s Super Bowl spot for John Carter (a movie so epic, it can fit into its title!), but I still think the movie can deliver.  It’s got scope, it’s going to be unlike anything else this year, and it’s got Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo and WALL-E) at the helm.  Disney has released 7 new images from the film and they provide a better look at Lynn Collins as Dejah Thoris, the warrior princess of Mars.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film also stars Taylor Kitsch, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Ciaran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Daryl Sabara, Polly Walker, Bryan Cranston, Thomas Hayden Church, and Willem DafoeJohn Carter opens in 3D on March 9th.

First Photos from the Set of Quentin Tarantino’s DJANGO UNCHAINED

Filming on Quentin Tarantino‘s Django Unchained is gearing up and actor Garrett Dillahunt has the TwitPics to prove it.  The film has been described as a “southern”: a spaghetti western set in the Old South.  Jamie Foxx stars a Django, an escaped slave who goes to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a sadistic plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio) by teaming up with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz).  As you can see from the photos, the Santa Clarita Melody Ranch looks like the set of a western town, which makes sense since it’s the same set from HBO’s sorely-missed western drama Deadwood, which also stars Dillahunt (in two different roles!).  Tarantino recently told the LA Times, “It’s a blast shooting here. Most other western towns look like dollhouses. This has the complete look. It’s fantastic.”

I haven’t read the script so I don’t know if Django heads out west at some point in the story, but that set looks like a place set in the West rather than the South.  Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, M.C. Gainey, Dennis Christopher, Gerald McRaney, Laura Cayouette, Don Johnson, Tom Savini, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Joseph Gordon-LevittDjango Unchained opens December 25th.

First Official Image from the New James Bond Film, SKYFALL

A few weeks ago, I noted with confusion that an image of Daniel Craig chilling by a pool was an odd choice for the first official image from the new James Bond film, Skyfall.  Turns out I was right to be confused.  The official James Bond Facebook page has released what they’re calling the first official image from Skyfall and they should know.  The image looks far more “Bond”-ian in that is has James Bond holding a gun and…James Bond holding a gun.  He’s a neat room, though.  It looks like he wandered into a level of Perfect Dark.

Hit the jump to check out the image.  The film also stars Naomie Harris, Ben Chaplin, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph FiennesSkyfall opens November 9th.

New Image of Karl Urban in DREDD

A new image has gone online of Karl Urban as Judge Dredd in Dredd.  We’ll keep bringing you these images, but it may be a good idea to assume that all of the images of Judge Dredd will look pretty much the same because: A) Urban has said that Dredd won’t remove his helmet in this adaptation; and B) It appears Dredd is partial to the frowny face.

Hit the jump to check out the image.  The film also stars Olivia Thirlby and Lena Headey.  Dredd opens in 3D on September 21st.

New Images from THE HOBBIT and ARGO

Warner Bros. has released new images from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit and Ben Affleck’s Argo.  As you can see, the new image from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey shows Bilbo being offered some food, and the Argo image shows Ben Affleck doing a reading for his mission to rescue some American hostages from Iran.  So…nothing Earth-shattering but we’re all really looking forward to these movies so we’ll take what we can get.

Hit the jump to check out the full images.  The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens in 3D on December 14th.  Argo opens September 14th.

New Images from THE LORAX Starring Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, and Danny DeVito

Universal has released new images from the 3D CGI adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.  Some of the images show the actors doing their voice recordings.  If you couldn’t imagine what Zac Efron would look like if he were in a sound booth and speaking into a microphone, your mind is about to be blown.  There’s also an image of the Lorax (voiced by Danny DeVito) playing cards with woodland creatures instead of giving dire environmental warnings.  There’s no time for games when the environment is on the line, Lorax.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  The film also features the voices of Ed Helms, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle, and Betty White.  Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax opens March 2nd in 3D.

New Set Photo of Vin Diesel in RIDDICK

Now that filming on Riddick has begun, it looks like Vin Diesel will be sending out a steady stream of set photos.  Nine days ago, we got our first look at everyone’s favorite Furyan and now Diesel has released another set photo.  As you can see from this set photo, Vin Diesel is in the movie and it looks like he’ll be reprising his role of anti-hero Richard B. Riddick.  This is only speculation on my part.  Take it with a grain of salt.

Hit the jump to check out the set photo.  Riddick also stars Katee Sackhoff, Jordi Molla, and Karl Urban.

First Image and New Details on Judd Apatow’s KNOCKED UP Spinoff, THIS IS FORTY

The first image has gone online from Judd Apatow‘s Knocked Up spinoff, This Is Forty.  Apatow’s latest comedy brings us back to Pete (Paul Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann) and the comic trials and tribulations of their marriage.  The movie will pick up several years after Knocked Up and show the couple facing new challenges.  Per the LA Times, “Pete’s music label is struggling and Debbie’s vanity business, a dress shop staffed by the comely Desi (Megan Fox) and the awkward Jodi (Charlyne Yi), needs to help cover the household budget.”  Mann and Apatow’s real-life daughters, Maude and Iris Apatow, will be reprising their Knocked Up characters as well.  I wonder if Iris’ character still likes Green Day.

This Is the First Official Image from SKYFALL?

An image for the new James Bond film, Skyfall, is getting passed around with the claim that it’s an official image.  In terms of the framing and image quality, that certainly seems true.  But I can’t believe that an image of Bond lounging poolside is the first official look at the film.  I mean, I know 007 doesn’t mind going for a dip, but the shot doesn’t scream “Bond”.  It screams “Daniel Craig enjoys his stay at the London Four Seasons (where the shot was taken).”

I trust the source; I’m just having trouble believing my eyes.  Hit the jump to check out the image.  Skyfall stars Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ben Chaplin, Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe, Helen McCroy, Albert Finney, and Ralph Fiennes.  The film opens November 9th.

New Images from THE EXPENDABLES 2 Starring Sylvester Stallone and Yu Nan

Two new images from The Expendables 2 have landed online.  The images feature star Sylvester Stallone and franchise newcomer Yu Nan.  Nan will makes sure the new movie isn’t a total sausage fest because, believe it or not, women can kill armies of faceless bad guys as well.  Guns aren’t sexist.  I have no idea what’s happening in these scenes, but I’m crossing my fingers I like the sequel more than the original.  I desperately wanted to be a fan of the first movie, but it felt soulless and artificial.  It’s not enough to simply see your favorite action stars sharing the screen.

Hit the jump to check out the new images.  The film also stars Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Liam Hemsworth, Jean Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, and Arnold SchwarzeneggerThe Expendables 2 opens August 17th.
