Some new set photos from Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla reboot have popped up. As expected in a giant rampaging monster movie, the images show scenes of wanton destruction of a small Japanese fishing village and what appears to be schoolchildren fleeing from said monster. Unfortunately, our only look at the title monster is a giant blue screen that towers over the set. Be sure to check out previous galleries of set photos here, here and here.
Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Bryan Crantson, Ken Watanabe, and Richard T. Jones and opens in 3D on May 16, 2014. See the images after the jump.

In case you missed this dread-filled trailer for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, we’ve gathered up 20 new images for your viewing pleasure. The final trailer certainly gets a dark and foreboding tone across, but some of the scenes move a hair too fast for the less-than-superhuman eye to take in. Scenes like Superman (Henry Cavill) being buried by a mountain of skulls, Lois Lane (Amy Adams) being outfitted with some sort of spacemask and not one but two instances of heat vision!
The film also stars Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fisburne, Antje Traue and Russell Crowe. Man of Steel opens in 3D on June 14th. Hit the jump to check out the images.

Fox Searchlight has released a batch of new high-resolution images from director Zal Batmanglij’s (Sound of My Voice) eco-terrorist thriller The East. Brit Marling co-wrote the script with Batmanglij and stars as an undercover operative for an elite private intelligence firm who infiltrates a domestic terrorist organization in order to protect her corporate clientele. Once she starts living as part of the anarchist collective, though, she finds that her loyalties aren’t as solid as she believed them to be. I caught the film at Sundance and it’s a very solid thriller that poses some fascinating questions that don’t exactly have easy answers. It has a lot to say about the world we live in, but the film still manages to work very effectively as commercial entertainment, as evidenced by the most recent trailer.
Hit the jump to check out the images, click here to read Matt’s review, and click here to read my interview with Batmanglij and Marling. The film also stars Alexander Skarsgard, Ellen Page, Patricia Clarkson, Julia Ormond, Shiloh Fernandez, and Jason Ritter. The East opens on May 31st.

The trailers, featurettes, and recent clip with Emma Watson all make the comedy look like a lot of fun, and I’m eager to see how Rogen and Goldberg fare in their directorial debut.
Hit the jump to check out the high-resolution images. The film also stars Jason Segel, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Paul Rudd, Martin Starr, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, and Rihanna. This Is the End opens on June 14, 2013.

The first red-band trailer for horror anthology V/H/S/2 is now available along with a couple of new images. There’s plenty of blood, boobs and scares to warrant the red-band tag on this particular trailer. We get glimpses of group suicides, exploding bodies, monstrous creatures and lots and lots of aliens. Looks like a worthy successor to the original and it’s only a few weeks away!
Directed by Simon Barrett, Adam Wingard, Edúardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale, Timo Tjahjanto, Gareth Huw Evans and Jason Eisener, V/H/S/2 will be on iTunes/On Demand June 6, 2013 and in theaters July 12, 2013. Hit the jump to watch the trailer and check out some new stills from the film.

Universal Pictures has released a new trailer, images, and a debut poster for writer/director David Twohy’s Riddick. The Chronicles of Riddick follow-up finds the titular character, played by Vin Diesel, left for dead on a deserted planet filled with predators both alien and human, as bounty hunters once again are out for Riddick’s head. Clocking in at two and a half minutes long, this trailer shows off much more footage than the first teaser, but there’s not much revealed by way of plot. In fact, it really looks as though one could comfortably watch Riddick without having seen the first two films in the series and be completely onboard. With Karl Urban returning, though, one imagines there’s at least a small throughline that connects Riddick with Chronicles. Though some of the effects are a bit spotty, if you’re a fan of the character and/or the first two films, this trailer promises that Riddick is likely right up your alley.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer, poster, and images. The film also stars Katee Sackhoff, David Bautista, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo, and Nolan Gerard Funk. Riddick opens in traditional theaters and IMAX on September 6th.

Another batch of images from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have landed online, and they appear to be a continuation of the sequence that was snapped yesterday involving Spidey, a bus, and Paul Giamatti’s villain Rhino. In these new images, Andrew Garfield’s titular character comes face-to-face with Giamatti’s villainous Rhino and the two become involved in a bit of a skirmish that ends, well, somewhat cartoonishly.
Hit the jump to take a look at the images. The film also stars Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in 3D on May 2, 2014.

Marc Webb is a talented director, but his true talent may lie in tweeting. Webb has tweeted a number of great behind-the-scenes photos from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The latest Webb tweets give us a much clearer introduction to Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich (aka the Rhino) after a grainy set photo previewed the makeup.
Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Felicity Jones, Chris Cooper, and Sally Field also star. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2, 2014. See the full image after the jump.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim is rapidly becoming my most-anticipated film of the year, and if their marketing scheme continues to be this enticing, I don’t see that changing any time soon. Not only do we have new character posters of stars Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi to share with you today, but we have the first look at sample pages from the graphic novel, Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, which was written by screenwriter Travis Beacham. If that weren’t enough, Warner Bros. has provided fans with an online Jaeger designer for use in the upcoming training sessions at the film’s viral website. You can design up to four Jaegers and save/share your creation in place of the Jaegers seen in the official artwork. I don’t often geek out, but when I do, it’s over Pacific Rim! Hit the jump to check it all out.
