Warner Bros. has released four minutes of the Green Lantern footage they recently debuted at CinemaCon and WonderCon. The clip provides a long look at the on-screen Oa, and I really like what I see. It’s a geometrically crazy world that human Ryan Reynolds has to believably interact with, and it looks like the visual effects department nailed it.
Directed by Martin Campbell, Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Jay O. Sanders, Temuera Morrison, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Angela Bassett, and Tim Robbins. The DC Comics superhero adaptation is scheduled for release on June 17. Watch the footage after the jump.

As most of you are aware, the first trailer for director Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern hit the net yesterday. You can watch it here and we also posted over 40 high resolution screen grabs from the trailer. The other thing we posted was a new poster that was taken from a background image on Apple. Warner Bros. just sent over a high resolution version (seen above) and if you click on the poster, you’ll get it in a new window. I think it’s pretty cool and could be a nice screensaver.
Finally, if you’re a fan of Green Lantern, I’d check back tomorrow morning. That’s all I can say for now.

The new Green Lantern trailer is loaded with goodies that are sure to please comic book devotees. In case your eyes couldn’t move fast enough to catch them all, we’ve grabbed 40 high-res images for your still-framed pleasure!
Included in the eye-candy are shots of Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) as well as fellow Green Lanterns Abin Sur (Temuera Morrison), Kilowog, Tomar-Re and everyone’s favorite, Sinestro (Mark Strong). We’ve also got glimpses of Hal Jordan’s nemesis, Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) and his on-again, off-again romantic interest, Carol Ferris (Blake Lively). Sharp-eyed fans will see that Ferris’s helmet emblem resembles a certain image that’s pretty instrumental to her character. Sequel anyone?
And since the Green Lantern costume is almost entirely CG, we’ve slowed down the transformation sequence so you can watch it bit by virtual bit. Check out the power battery as well! Hit the jump for the images:
