A new trailer for Brett Ratner’s Tower Heist has gone online.  The film centers on a group of employees working in a high-rise who decide to rob a white-collar criminal after he fleeces them out of their savings. After viewing both trailers, I stick by my conclusion that it will be a popular movie featuring the kind of safe humor that makes a crummy show like Two and a Half Men the #1 show on comedy.  However, it looks like we might finally get another funny performance from Eddie Murphy.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer. The film also stars Ben Stiller, Matthew Broderick, Téa Leoni, Gabourey Sidibe, Casey Affleck, Stephen Henderson, Judd Hirsch, Michael Peña, and Alan Alda.  Tower Heist opens November 4th and hits VOD in select markets three weeks later.

Last July we learned that the drama series Damages was saved form cancellation by DirecTV and now the premiere of the fourth season (airing exclusively on the satellite service) is nearly upon us with July 13th getting closer everyday. So with the premiere looming, we have two new trailers for the forthcoming season starring Glenn Close and Rose Byrne who will also be joined by John Goodman as a shadowy CEO of a Blackwater-like military contractor and the defendant in a wrongful death suit, Judd Hirsch as a former mentor of Patty’s who has hit bottom and more. Check out both of the new trailers after the jump.

You may remember last summer we heard that Damages, a show that was on the verge of death was saved by the great folks at DirecTV. Now that fourth season is almost ready to be underway and today we have word on a new cast member. EW reports veteran actor Judd Hirsch (from the classic Taxi series and films like Independence Day) has landed a key role as a former mentor of Glenn Close’s character. He’s a man took her under his wing during her first job out of law school, but his situation has changed greatly over time and he now spends his time “at the bottom of a bottle.”

The fourth season begins this summer on DirecTV with the story revolving around a wrongful death lawsuit filed against a military contractor over an incident that happened in a war zone. With less censor restrictions and no commercials, expect the envelope to be pushed.

Brett Ratner’s comedy Tower Heist continues to add more faces to its already star-studded cast. Matthew Broderick, Casey Affleck, and Judd Hirsch are set to join Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Gabourey Sidibe, Michael Peña and the recently announced Téa Leoni in the action-comedy, which is being produced by Brian Grazer from a Jeff Nathanson script. This will be Broderick’s first major role since 2009’s Wonderful World, and it’s a big change-of-pace for Affleck who recently starred in the dark, controversial drama The Killer Inside Me.

According to Deadline and THR, Broderick will play Chase Fitzhugh, a Wall Street tycoon who joins a gang of disgruntled employees attempting to break into the high rise of their former boss (played by Alda). Affleck, meanwhile, will play a “straight arrow” buddy of Stiller, intent on turning the group over to the police.  No word yet on who Hirsch will play. Filming is set to commence in November for a 2011 release.
