Paramount has released a trailer for James Cameron’s 3D update of his 1997 film Titantic. I think the verdict is in on this movie, and since the trailer is on my computer, I can’t really comment on the 3D. However, I was reminded of how much I hate “My Heart Will Go On.” Click here for what Steve though of the footage he saw last month.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Jonathan Hyde, Victor Garber, Bernard Hill, David Warner, Gloria Stuart, and Bill Paxton. Titanic opens in 3D on April 6, 2012. It will also be re-released in 2D.

I can’t remember the last time Woody Allen made a film as delightful as Midnight in Paris. He’s certainly done it before and it’s not one of his comedy classics like Annie Hall and Sleeper, but Midnight in Paris is undoubtedly one of Woody Allen’s best films of the past ten years. It’s the rare Allen comedy where he doesn’t insert an Allen-like neurotic character, and the script finds inventive ways to be funny and thoughtful. Johanne Debas and Darius Khondji’s cinematography is gorgeous, the film is filled with wonderful performances where you can tell that all of the actors are having a marvelous time, and Allen brings it all together with a joy rarely seen in his movies these days.

The trailer for Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris has gone online. The film centers on a man (Owen Wilson) who is in Paris with his wife (Rachel McAdams) but begins going off on his own a midnight to explore the nightlife the city has to offer. It’s tough to be excited for Midnight in Paris since Woody Allen insists on turning out one film per year regardless of whether or not it’s a film worth making. While he has a great cast lined up (Michael Sheen especially looks to be having some fun), a Woody Allen film these days is a crapshoot and at best he feels like he’s repeating himself. Hopefully Midnight in Paris will offer a change of pace, but nothing in the trailer hints that it will.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. Midnight in Paris also stars Kathy Bates, Carla Bruni, Marion Cotillard, and Adrien Brody. It opens May 20th and will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

But the talk of the town is the very special cameo appearance by a certain French leading lady. Find out who after the jump.

Opening on February 12 is Valentine’s Day. Starring every actor in Hollywood (Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Eric Dane, Patrick Dempse, Hector Elizondo, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Queen Latifah, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts and Taylor Swift), the film follows the intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelinos as they find their way through romance over the course of one Valentine’s Day. If you’ve seen the British movie Love, Actually, this is the American version.
To help promote the film, we’ve been given 12 clips. Each one features different actors, so you can see the different storylines. Hit the jump to check them out and you can read the full synopsis:

Did you like the movie Love Actually? Are you a fan of Ashton Kutcher, Kathy Bates, Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Jessicas Alba, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Shirley MacLaine, Patrick Dempsey, Topher Grace, Queen Latifah, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Eric Dane, Hector Elizondo, Jennifer Garner, Emma Roberts or Julia Roberts?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you’re probably going to want to see director Garry Marshall’s (Pretty Woman) new movie Valentine’s Day next February 12th. That’s because the movie is following the playbook of Love Actually and loading itself up with tons of movie stars and telling the story over the course of one day. It just so happens the story takes place on Valentine’s Day.
As someone who really enjoyed Love Actually, I’m very curious about this movie. Also, with a cast like this, how can I not be curious? Check out the new poster and trailer after the jump.

Personal Effects is the story of Linda and Walter, two very different people whose paths would never have crossed were they not both close family members of people who suffered violent deaths. Linda’s husband was shot and killed. Walter’s sister was raped, beaten and left naked by the river (and killed). If watching that sounds like a fun way to spend a few hours, get help. The big question for me going into this film was “Can Ashton Kutcher possibly be any good as a serious actor.” Having seen The Butterfly Effect, my first response is “Hell no.” But I can’t help liking Kutcher, and I keep hoping he’ll prove us all wrong. My review is after the jump:

“Chéri” is not the film that I typically go for. It’s a period drama set in Paris in the 1920s and focuses on the lives of former courtesans and the relationship one has with the son of another. And yet “Chéri” had me hooked throughout with the combination of Stephen Frears’ skillful direction and Michelle Pfeiffer turning in one of the best performances of her career.
