Two films that both had very positive buzz coming out of Sundance this year, The Kids Are All Right and Holy Rollers, now both have trailers to go along with that.

The Kids Are All Right, my personal favorite film from Sundance this year, is a comedy starring Annette Bening and Julianne Moore as lesbian mothers whose kids (Mia Wasikowska and Josh Hutcherson) seek out their biological father (Mark Ruffalo). It was picked up by Focus Features and will release on July 7. Holy Rollers, a drama starring Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Bartha as Hasidic Jews who deal ecstasy, was picked up by First Independent Pictures and is scheduled for release on May 21.

Hit the jump for the trailers and official plot descriptions.

The Kids Are All Right

Two teenaged children conceived by artificial insemination get the notion to seek out their birth father and introduce him into the family life that their two mothers have built for them. Once the donor is found, the household will never be the same, as family ties are defined, re-defined, and then re-re-defined. It's directed and co-written by Lisa Cholodenko (Laurel Canyon).

Holy Rollers

Burgeoning star Jesse Eisenberg - after his recent turn in the hit Zombieland and his earlier stunning work in such specialty fare as The Squid and the Whale - stars as Sam Gold, a devoted yet wayward Hasidic Jew in late 90's NYC, who becomes involved in an international ecstasy ring. The film is based loosely on true events. It's directed by Kevin Asch.

First Independent Pictures has acquired U.S. distribution rights to Holy Rollers. Starring Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Bartha, Holy Rollers was inspired by actual events and it's about Hasidic Jews that were recruited to smuggle ecstasy into New York City from Amsterdam in the late 90's. Jesse Eisenberg is the lead. The movie premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival to decent reviews.

According to the press release we were sent, First Independent anticipates an early to mid summer release. Hit the jump to read the entire press release.

Also, we posted 6 clips from the film and I did an interview with Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Bartha, Danny A. Abeckase, Ari Graynor and Director Kevin Asch while at Sundance, so click here to check it out.

One of the many films to premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival was director Kevin Asch's Holy Rollers. Inspired by actual events, Holy Rollers stars Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Bartha, Danny A. I saw the film at Sundance and while it didn't do anything we haven't seen before, Jesse Eisenberg showcased his considerable acting skills and demonstrated why he's constantly working. Also, while a million coming of age stories have been made, I don't know if I've ever seen one that takes place in a Hasidic Jewish community in New York City. Points for that.

Anyway, I was able to participate in an interview with the cast and Director Kevin Asch at the Festival, and after the jump you can watch the conversation. If you're curious about Holy Rollers, take a look:

If you'd like to see some clips from Holy Rollers, click here. And here's the synopsis before the interview:
"Holy Rollers" is inspired by actual events in the late nineties, when Hasidic Jews were recruited as mules to smuggle ecstasy from Europe into the United States. Sam Gold (Jesse Eisenberg), a young Hasid from an Orthodox Brooklyn community, is following the path his family has chosen with a pending arranged marriage and becoming a Rabbi. A charming neighbor, Yosef Zimmerman (Justin Bartha), senses Sam's resistance and propositions him to transport 'medicine' for Jackie (Danny Abeckaser), an ...
