Last week, Mondo unveiled two stunning Avengers posters for Black Widow and Hawkeye. Mondo, the collectible boutique arm of the Alamo Drafthouse, has assembled (zing!) a series of posters that tie into Marvel’s all-star superhero pic, and today they’ve unveiled posters for Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk. My personal favorites of the bunch are either Hulk or Iron Man, though the glow-in-the-dark variant of Thor is pretty damn gorgeous. Frankly, there’s not a bad one in the whole batch.
Hit the jump to check out the posters, and then seethe with envy of those who’ll be able to get their hands on them. Captain America and Hulk will go on sale at a random time tomorrow (Thursday), while Thor and Iron Man will go on sale on Friday. If you thought it was hard to get your hands on a Mondo poster before, I can’t even imagine how quickly your fingers will have to move in order to nab one of these. As always, follow @MondoNews for on sale announcements. The Avengers opens in 3D on May 4th.

Mondo has kicked off a series of screenings where the movie being shown hasn’t been announced. Folks by a ticket, go to the screening, and then find out what they’re seeing and what awesome poster they, and only they, will be able to purchase. Past screenings have included Akira and Jurassic Park, but this weekend Mondo pulled out all the stops by doing a six-movie marathon in Los Angeles. Attendees were treated to screenings and posters for The Iron Giant (by far my favorite of the bunch), 28 Days Later, Hellraiser, Assault on Precinct 13, City of Lost Children, and The Mist.
I’ve included all the posters after the jump. Be warned: seeing these may make you sad because we’ll never have them. They won’t be sold on the Mondo store and unless you’re willing to pay a premium to eBay jerk-offs who don’t understand what’s special about these posters, you and I will never own them.

The Korean revenge-thriller I Saw the Devil arrives today on DVD and Blu-ray. To mark the film’s release, Mondo is releasing a limited edition poster for the film designed by the great Kevin Tong. The poster will cost $45 (a bargain for a Tong poster, which usually ends up going for well over $200 on eBay) and is limited to an edition of 185. The poster goes on sale at a random time this Thursday so be sure you’re following @MondoNews for the announcement.
Hit the jump to check out the poster and click here to read Bill’s review of I Saw the Devil when saw the film at last year’s Fantastic Fest.

There are only 100 copies left of Kevin Tong’s poster for David Lynch’s Dune and he’ll be selling them tomorrow, April 12th, at a random time. The 18″ x 24″ screenprint will cost you $100. All of the prints are signed and numbered. US shipping is $6 and international shipping is $10.
Hit the jump to check out the poster and video of its creation.

The droids are certainly getting their day with Mondo‘s Star Wars poster series. The series kicked off with a Scrap Yard Power Droid, the bounty hunter droid IG-88 got a poster, and now we have everyone’s favorite astromech droid, R2-D2. Artist Kevin Tong has drawn up the dazzling “A Linch Pin Droid” which shows an exploded blueprint of Artoo. The print is limited to an edition of 400, measures 24″x36″, uses glow-in-the-dark inks, costs $50, and will go on sale at a random time on Friday, November 26th. Be sure you’re following @MondoNews for the announcement.

Tonight, Texas based Mondotees was at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles for one night only. They were there to release two limited posters (Gremlins and Alien) and to sell off a few posters that were previously sold out. Also, they had Kevin Tong creating customized hand-drawn movie prints and Harry Diaz live screen-printing custom movie merchandise. If you’ve never seen the awesome posters and t-shirts that Mondotees sells, I really suggest checking out the website. Especially if you love movies.
While tonight’s show started at 7pm, I managed to get in a bit early to photograph what was on display. If you didn’t get a chance to go and were curious what they had, hit the jump for a ton of photos.
