The Dark Knight Rises has been hogging the poster spotlight over the past few days with six weather-themed character posters and today’s hi-res banners, but now it’s Twilight’s turn to be front and center. Three character posters for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 have been unveiled via a fan scavenger hunt (ie. fans did the legwork to uncover marketing material). The posters feature Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner putting on their super serious faces, and the posters all sport the confusing tagline of “Forever” even though Breaking Dawn – Part 2 is the concluding chapter of the series. Nevertheless, fans will get their last chance to check out Brooding Pattinson and Moody Stewart before the two shake things up with the trippy Cosmopolis and a sexually-charged On the Road, respectively. Meanwhile, Lautner is still trying to launch that action career of his.

The long-awaited first feature film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel On the Road is finally hitting theaters later this year, and two clips have landed online. One clip features a scene between Garrett Hedlund’s Dean and Kirsten Dunst’s Camille, while the other clip centers on Kristen Stewart’s character. As you may or may not have heard, Stewart tackles the sexually charged character of Marylou head-on with more than one nude scene, and it’s clear from the first reactions to the film that some of her young Twilight fans may be a bit shocked to see their beloved Bella promiscuously taking part in three-ways—if they’re old enough to get into the R-rated film in the first place, that is.
On the Road premiered yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival, and we’ve rounded up some choice quotes from the first reviews. Hit the jump to check out the clips and to see how director Walter Salles’ adaptation was received at Cannes.

Universal has released an excellent interactive trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman. Rather than the awful trailer-for-trailer trend, I wish more studios would take the interactive approach where the trailer can lead to behind-the-scenes featurettes, concept art, and other fun stuff. The trailer-for-trailer thing only makes me feel annoyed towards an upcoming film, but this interactive trailer makes me want to see SWATH even more.
Hit the jump to check out the interactive trailer. The film also stars Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, Ray Winstone, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Ian McShane. Snow White and the Huntsman opens June 1st.

Though many were beleaguered by the fact that two Snow White movies were slated to open in 2012, the first trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman clued us in that director Rupert Sanders had crafted a very different take on the Snow White story than most were expecting. The dark and epic iteration of the famous fairy tale landed on our list of the most anticipated films of the year, and the impressive cast of Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, and Kristen Stewart only adds to the film’s appeal.
I recently got the chance to speak with Hemsworth about the film alongside a small group of journalists via a Google+ Hangout video interview while the actor was in London doing press. Hemsworth talked about pulling from Harrison Ford’s performances as Indiana Jones and Han Solo for the Huntsman character, what drew him to the project, being punched by co-star Stewart, the success of The Avengers and much more. He also talked a bit about a rumored sequel/prequel/spinoff for his Huntsman character that may or may not come to fruition. Hit the jump to watch the interview.

We’ve been provided with seven clips from director Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman to share with our readers. The film takes an epic and dark approach to the classic Snow White tale, with Kristen Stewart starring as the titular heroine who trains alongside the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) in order to defeat the evil queen (Charlize Theron) who is bent on destroying the young beauty. I’m a big fan of what we’ve seen thus far, and I’m eager to see Sanders’ fantastical and gritty visuals on full display once the film hits theaters.

Academy Award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (Alice in Wonderland) puts her amazing vision and expert craftsmanship to work bringing to life the characters of Snow White and the Huntsman and presenting them to modern audiences through astonishingly intricate and carefully assembled designs. In a film where symbolism is crucial to the story and wardrobe is integral, Atwood’s contributions blend seamlessly into a world that’s both fantastical and realistic and speaks volumes about the characters. We sat down with Atwood at a roundtable interview to talk Snow White and the Huntsman and why it was an amazing treat for her to design costumes that reflected the themes of the iconic story and helped the actors transition into the world of their characters. She also discussed her upcoming film, The Thin Man, directed by Rob Marshall and starring Johnny Depp. Hit the jump to read our interview.

Though it’s certainly one of the more high profile indie projects to come along in quite some time, the first feature film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s seminal tome On the Road has only now secured domestic distribution. IFC Films and Sundance Selects have acquired the distribution rights to director Walter Salles’ adaptation, with a theatrical release planned for sometime this fall. Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, and Sam Riley front the all-star cast that also includes Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, and Elizabeth Moss.
I was a big fan of the first trailer, so I’m eager to check the full film out later this year. On the Road will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next week, so we’ll have the first reactions/reviews soon. Hit the jump to watch the trailer for the film.

With her Twilight duties nearly complete, Kristen Stewart is looking to branch out in a big way. We recently reported that the actress has signed on to star in the gritty action pic Cali, which takes place in L.A. and revolves around two San Fernando Valley lovers who sell a fake snuff film and take off with the cash. Years later, the girl (Stewart) must “return from the dead” in order to save the younger sister she abandoned. With Stewart set as the female lead, it now appears that The Notebook director Nick Cassavetes will be taking the helm. Hit the jump for more.

Universal has released a new clip from the fantasy-action film Snow Whiter and the Huntsman. In this re-imagining, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) is ordered to take Snow White (Kristen Stewart) into the woods to be killed, but instead becomes her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen (Charlize Theron). The clip shows Snow engaging in proper Troll-vanquishing etiquette where forceful screams are more powerful than an axe-wielding Huntsman.

Two new TV spots have cropped up: one for The Avengers to remind you that it opens this weekend and one for Snow White and the Huntsman that reminds us it still opens on June 1st. The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg and Cobie Smulders. Check out all of our previous coverage here.

Universal Pictures has released three new posters for Snow White and the Huntsman. The movie is one of our most anticipated films of April through June, and Steve dug the footage he saw at CinemaCon. The new posters aren’t bad, although the one with Charlize Theron makes it look like the crow (or is it a raven?) has a funny eye.

Mark this day, my friends, because it is the first (and probably the last) time you’ll see Kristen Stewart paired up with Nick Nolte. It only happened today because we have some casting updates for you:

Summit Entertainment has released two new images from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. As you can see, one of the images shows new parents Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) apprehensively starring at the unknown. The other image shows Taylor Lautner making one of his two facial expressions.

Director Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman opens in a little more than a month and Universal wants to make sure you know all the key players, so they’ve rattled off this roll call TV spot. Most of the marketing so far has been geared toward the power struggle between Snow White (Kristen Stewart) and Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) with little attention paid to the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) and even less to Prince William (Sam Claflin) and the Dwarves (Toby Jones, Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Nick Frost, Bob Hoskins, Eddie Marsan). Personally, I feel like the marketing machine has been humming along nicely up until this point; this 30-second teaser spot does little else but splash images of the actors across the screen along with their character names. The new international trailer, however, is a nicely edited piece that reminds me why Snow White and the Huntsman, which opens June 1st, was one of our Most Anticipated movies of this quarter. Almost a year ago, Summit Entertainment premiered the first promo poster for director Bill Condon‘s The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. So it makes sense that at this year’s show, Summit would premiere the first poster for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. For those unaware, CinemaCon is a convention put on for theater owners in order to get a look at what the studios have to offer for the rest of the year, and where vendors can show new products for theaters to buy; it’s basically Comic-Con for theater owners. Besides showing off never before seen footage, the studios often bring the cast and the filmmakers. Over the course of a few days, Hollywood comes to Las Vegas.
While I’m sure Twilight fans would love to see a great photo of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on the first poster, it’s just like last year in that it’s just the logo, the date, and info about the website on the bottom. Hit the jump to check it out and look for tons of new posters and our reporting from CinemaCon every day this week.
