After the first red-band trailer debuted earlier this week, a new green-band trailer for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s This Is the End is now available. The film definitely looks funny, but I’m wondering how long the premise of celebrity-self-parody can last. Usually, this kind of performance is a cameo, but This Is the End is all about Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride, Jay Baruchel, and Craig Robinson playing “versions” of themselves. I’m assuming that as long as the quips and jokes keep coming as quickly as they do in this trailer, then the self-parody won’t wear out its welcome.
Hit the jump to check out the trailer. The film also stars Jason Segel, Michael Cera, Emma Watson, Paul Rudd, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart, Aziz Ansari, Martin Starr, and more. This Is the End opens June 12th.

The first clip and poster for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg‘s directorial debut, the apocalypse comedy This Is the End, has been released online. It’s perfect timing, as tomorrow may or may not be the end of the world as we know it, so keep in mind that this could be the only piece of footage from This Is the End that your eyes will see before an unholy Mayan apocalypse engulfs us all. It’d be a shame if the world did end tomorrow, though, because This Is the End looks fantastic. Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Craig Robinson, and Danny McBride all play themselves in the aftermath of the apocalypse to hilarious results, with plenty of self-referential comedy to go around. McBride in particular is excellent in this clip, and if this is any indication of what the full film is like, then This Is the End will be the must-see comedy of next summer.
Hit the jump to watch the clip which features a timely introduction by Rogen and Franco, and to check out the film’s poster and a new image. The film also stars Jason Segel, Michael Cera, Emma Watson, David Krumholtz, Paul Rudd, Martin Starr, Mindy Kaling, Kevin Hart, and Rihanna. This Is the End opens on June 14, 2013.

Want to get a jump on two new sitcoms coming to television this fall? You can check out the full pilots for Fox’s The Mindy Project and Ben and Kate. Mindy Kaling (The Office) stars in her own creation as an OB/GYN who is stuck somewhere between her ideal relationship (based solely on romantic comedies) and her actual liaisons, which never end quite the way she hopes. Ben and Kate, from Dana Fox (Childrens Hospital), centers on the off-kilter relationship between a bachelor brother (Nat Faxon) and his single-mom sister (Dakota Johnson). Both shows will premiere on Fox the night of September 25th, but you can check out the full pilots after the jump.

On the new Fox comedy series The Mindy Project, premiering on September 25th, follows Mindy Lahiri (The Office’s Mindy Kaling) who, despite having a successful career, is unlucky in love and desperately needs to get her personal life back on track before her friends and colleagues are forced to stage an intervention. The show also stars Chris Messina, Ed Weeks, Ike Barinholtz, Stephen Tobolowsky, Anna Camp, Zoe Jarman and Amanda Setton.
While at the Fox portion of the TCA Press Tour, show star/executive producer Mindy Kaling talked about wearing both the actor and producer hats for this series, why she decided to make the character a doctor, her love of romance and the desire to address the damage done by romantic comedies to real relationships, how much her ethnicity will play into the story, whether headlining a series is anything like she imagined it would be, and how she’ll be returning to The Office for an episode or two. Check out what she had to say after the jump.

Though the film’s release is only a few months away, Disney has added a slew of last-minute additions to the voice cast of the animated feature Wreck-It Ralph. The story centers on the eponymous bad guy (John C. Reilly) from the arcade game “Fix-It Felix Jr.” who decides he wants to be the hero, and escapes to other video game worlds. The film’s trailer—and premise—is very geek friendly, with video game references and cameos galore. Now a number of voice actors have been added to the roster, including Alan Tudyk, Ed O’Neill, Mindy Kaling, Adam Carolla, Horatio Sanz, Dennis Haysbert, Rachel Harris, and many more.
Hit the jump to check out the full list of new actors, and if you missed Steve’s interview with director Rich Moore be sure to check it out right here. He talks about Easter eggs, famous cameos, and more. Wreck-It Ralph opens on November 2nd.

You’re driving down the street, and it’s suddenly blocked off. You notice these weird yellow signs with nonsensical letters or numbers. There’s unusual glow lighting up a neighborhood you can’t usually see from your house. What you might have here is a film company shooting in your town. It happens a lot, and you never know where they might pop up…until now.
The following is a semi-comprehensive list of films currently shooting, what they’re shooting, and where they’re shooting. We’ll be telling you where you might get to see the very famous, the kinda famous and (if all goes well) the soon-to-be famous. While we can’t list every single movie, television show, or student film in production, you’ll get a pretty good idea of what the heck is going on where all those people are buzzing about. Want to know where in the world are Matt Damon, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Woody Harrelson, and Leonardo DiCaprio? Hit the jump for more.

Earlier today, Fox announced the lineup for their fall 2012 schedule. Glee will now air on Thursday nights, and the network has created an all-comedy block on Tuesday nights with New Girl, Raising Hope, and two new comedy series. The network has now unveiled full trailers for said comedy series (and one that debuts midseason), so we now have a better idea of what to expect from the network’s new offerings. Despite having a terrible title, The Mindy Project actually looks really promising. Kaling, who also created the series, stars as a young physician who’s trying to break some bad habits in her personal life. Kaling is likeable and funny as the lead, and she’s buoyed by a strong supporting cast that includes Chris Messina (Damages) and Richard Schiff (The West Wing). The Bill Hader and Ed Helms cameos don’t hurt either. I like what I’ve seen, and it looks like The Mindy Project should make for a fine companion to New Girl on Tuesday nights.
Hit the jump to watch the trailers for all the new Fox comedies, including two other promising additions: Midseason series The Goodwin Games from How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and the sibling comedy Ben and Kate.

Two on-the-bubble NBC shows have officially been given the order for new seasons. The critical favorite yet ratings challenged drama Parenthood has been renewed for a 15-episode fourth season (per TV Line). Showrunner Jason Katims is no stranger to ratings issues despite favorable reviews, as he led the stellar Friday Night Lights through five seasons of “will it be renewed?” drama. I’m a fan of the ensemble and tone of Parenthood, but Katims will most likely have his hands full next season as his medical pilot County is said to be close to a pick up. That show will star Jason Ritter, who led the doomed The Event and has been a frequent guest star on Parenthood.
Hit the jump for news regarding renewals for The Office and a final season for 30 Rock, as well as speculation about the fate of Community and Parks and Recreation. [Update: The Office hasn't officially been renewed yet, but with deals almost done for the main cast members a renewal is expected]

A red-band trailer for The Five-Year Engagement has gone online. The film follows Jason Segel and Emily Blunt through the ups and downs of their prolonged engagement. Segel reteams with Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller on the film, and I’m a big fan of what we’ve seen thus far. This red-band trailer focuses on some of the dirtier jokes we were expecting from a Judd Apatow-produced comedy, with a fairly great sex scene between Segel and Blunt thrown in for good measure. It’s also nice to see The 40-Year Old Virgin scene-stealer Kevin Hart back in an Apatow comedy. I love the ensemble cast that Stoller has put together and I’m excited to watch everyone play off of one another in the finished film.
Hit the jump to watch the trailer, and don’t forget to check out Steve’s set visit coverage including 20 things to know about the film and bunch of on set interviews. We also posted 24 images and five clips. The film also stars Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Rhys Ifans, David Paymer, Mimi Kennedy, Jacki Weaver, Brian Posehn, and Mindy Kaling. The Five-Year Engagement opens on April 27th.

The film comes from Forgetting Sarah Marshall director Nicholas Stoller, who co-wrote the screenplay with star Jason Segel, and follows a couple through the ups and downs of their extended engagement. Since Steve Carell left The Office, the happenings on the show have been anything but business as usual. Robert California (James Spader) stopped by to run things for a time before leaving the Scranton branch in the capable, albeit self-conscious, hands of Andy Bernard (Ed Helms). There has been recent talk of Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) leaving to retire to the beet farm bed-and-breakfast in a proposed spin-off. That’s not to mention the expanding film careers of Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski and Craig Robinson, as well as Wilson and Helms. As neither the cast members nor the show itself have been officially been confirmed to return, things are a bit up in the air at the moment. Helms talked a bit about the future of The Office in this recent interview with Steve. Hit the jump for more on this possible series reboot.

Emily Blunt is trying to find the perfect place to hold her wedding with Jason Segel. As she walks around a local bed and breakfast in Sonoma, California, she thinks she’s finally found it and starts to talk to the owner about price and dates. It’s at this point the owner starts to proposition her with some filthy language that I can’t write here. Startled but determined to use the location, she tries to persevere until he finally crosses the line. It’s at this point that everyone watching starts to laugh and writer-director Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) calls cut.
But let me back up a second.
In late June of last year, I got to visit the set of The Five-Year Engagement when the production was filming at the Beltane Ranch in Somona, California. In the film, the Ranch is going to be a local B&B called the Drunken Pig. If you’re not familiar with the story, Five-Year Engagement “looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.” The film stars also stars Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Rhys Ifans, David Paymer, Mimi Kennedy, Jacki Weaver, Jim Piddock, Kevin Hart, Brian Posehn, Mindy Kaling, and many other familiar faces.
