With director Jordan Vogt-Roberts‘ dramedy The Kings of Summer (formerly Toy’s House) opening May 31st, CBS Films has provided us with four clips. The plot centers on Joe (Nick Robinson), Patrick (Gabriel Basso), and Biaggio (Moises Arias), three teenagers who are fed up with their parents and decide to live in a house they build in the woods. Reported missing, the boys enjoy an idyllic summer until their friendship begins to strain from mistrust and jealousy. The film landed great reviews at Sundance, and I can tell you it’s definitely worth seeing, as it’s a very unique coming of age story with some great performances. The film also stars Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Megan Mullally. Hit the jump to watch the clips, and look for some exclusive video interviews with the cast and Vogt-Roberts during the week of release.

Finally opening Stateside this weekend is Shane Black’s Iron Man 3. The international debut has already set new box office records and will likely set the pace for the rest of 2013′s superhero features. In a new clip from Iron Man 3, Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle appear out of their armor as Tony Stark and James Rhodes respectively. Rhodes-y is worried about his pal, and with good reason.
Also starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau and Sir Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 opens in 3D on May 3rd. Hit the jump to watch the clip and a new TV spot.

In this new clip from J.J. Abram’s upcoming Star Trek sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, Chris Pine’s James T. Kirk and Benedict Cumberbatch’s John Harrison have a heated exchange through a plate-glass prison wall. While there’s no action in this particular scene, the clip does a nice job of showcasing Kirk’s passionate fury and Harrison’s cold and calculating nature (and apparently his penchant for reciting numerals).
The film also stars Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin and Karl Urban. Star Trek Into Darkness is slated for a May 15th IMAX 3D release and a 2D and 3D release on May 17th. Director Nicolas Winding Refn’s follow-up to his fantastic 2011 film Drive is set to make its debut at the Cannes Film Festival next month, but three whole clips from Only God Forgives have graciously made their way online a tad early. The film’s red-band trailer promised another intense and gorgeous collaboration between Refn and star Ryan Gosling, and these three clips don’t disappoint. While I’m eager to see what the always-reliable Gosling has in store for us this time around, it’s Kristin Scott Thomas who is the highlight of these clips as she plays the mother of Gosling’s character, a woman who urges her son to seek violent revenge for the death of his brother in Thailand.
Hit the jump to bask in the moodiness of Refn’s latest. Only God Forgives also stars Vithaya Pansringarm and will open in theaters on July 19th.

Warner Bros. has released 7 clips (almost 5 minutes of footage) from director Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby. For those unfamiliar with F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s source material, the story centers on a would-be writer (Tobey Maguire) chasing the American dream who moves to New York City in the spring of 1922 and encounters a mysterious millionaire named Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio). The film also stars Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke and Adelaide Clemens.
If you weren’t aware, Luhrmann shot Gatsby in 3D, so I’d advise paying the extra money to see it in that format. Also, I saw some of the film in 3D and it looked like Luhrmann used the format to help tell the story. Hit the jump to watch the clips. The Great Gatsby opens May 10th.

Marvel has released a new clip from Iron Man 3, which shows Tony Stark dealing with the fallout of the events of The Avengers: “Nothing’s been the same since New York.” Robert Downey Jr. walks the fine line of arrogance and charm better than just about any other actor, but it helps for us to see Stark in a vulnerable moment, as he is here with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, and Ben Kingsley also star. Directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), Iron Man 3 opens May 3. Watch the clip after the jump.

With writer/director Joseph Kosinski’s Oblivion opening April 19th, we’ve been provided with four clips from the sci-fi film. The story takes place on a dystopian Earth and stars Tom Cruise as a drone repairman who holds the future of mankind in his hands after discovering a crashed spaceship. Oblivion also stars Olga Kurylenko, Morgan Freeman, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo.
Over the past few months we’ve seen tons of images, posters, images, and featurettes. Based on what I’ve seen thus far, I’m counting down the days, especially since Kosinski told us that Oblivion will be presented “in IMAX will be full frame 1.9 through the whole thing.” Needless to say, if you’re going to see the film, see it in IMAX! Hit the jump to watch the clips and look for my video interviews with the cast week of release.

Warner Bros. has released seven clips from the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, led by Chadwick Boseman. Harrison Ford co-stars as Branch Rickey, the general manager who broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball by signing Robinson to the Dodgers. It’s a curious performance by Ford, who wraps a thick dialect around such mouthfuls as:
“Someday you’re going to meet God. And when he inquires as why you didn’t take the field against Robinson in Philadelphia, and you answer that it’s because he was a negro, it may not be a sufficient reply!”
Since we are withholding judgement until we see the full context of the performance, let’s focus on the fact that the period piece photography is sharp, and Boseman looks to be a charasmatic lead. Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Judy Tylor, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie, and T.R. Knight co-star. Directed by Brian Helgeland, 42 opens April 12. Watch the clips after the break.

At the center of the story is Ronan’s character Melanie, who fights back against the Soul, called Wanderer, that takes over her body.
