We have some new images to bring you tonight from a trio of highly-anticipated films. First, Warner Bros. has released a new image from director Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar. The pic gives us our first look at Naomi Watts as Helen Gandy and features Leonardo DiCaprio giving her a look that seems, um, disapproving. Next, Paramount has released a new image of Chloe Moretz and Asa Butterfield in Martin Scorsese’s Hugo. Finally, Paramount has also released the first image of Charlize Theron in Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody’s Young Adult. Find the new images, official synopses, and release dates for each of the films after the jump.

A promotional onslaught is in effect for director Trent Cooper’s comedy Father of Invention as a new trailer, poster, and a slew of new images from the film have gone online. Starring Kevin Spacey, Heather Graham, Craig Robinson, Virginia Madsen, Johnny Knoxville, John Stamos, and Camilla Belle, the film centers on a former infomercial guru (Spacey) who finds himself in prison after a design flaw in one of his inventions de-fingers many of his customers. From there, Father of Invention looks to document Spacey’s attempted return to “As Seen on TV” glory.
The pic looks a little formulaic in its “Guy A is a bad person who must first learn how to change himself before he can really make any sort of difference” approach. Nevertheless, the cast is great and when compared to Cooper’s last directorial effort, Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector, I’m sure Father of Invention is awards-season material. Hit the jump to check out the trailer, poster, images, and an official synopsis for the film. Father of Invention opens on October 14th.

Written/directed by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy tells the story of a known party animal (Sudeikis) who decides to throw a classic summer orgy at his father’s Hampton residence upon learning that pops is selling the estate. Just typing the above synopsis takes me back to the countless summer nights I spent not participating in orgies in the Hamptons.
In addition to Sudeikis, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy also stars Will Forte, Leslie Bibb, Lake Bell, and Nick Kroll. The film premieres tomorrow night at the Tribeca Film Festival and will be released in select cities this September. Hit the jump to check out the poster, images, and a brief synopsis.

The trailer for the film was released last month, and actually shows a bit of promise given that Allen hasn’t really made a worthwhile film in quite some time.

Hard to believe that fifteen years ago marked the first appearance of the Ghost Face killer slashing his way onto movie screens. Wes Craven’s Scream 4 will be the first installment of the franchise in ten years and we have bloody new TV spots and stills to share with you. While the trailer promises the return of some of Woodsboro’s most familiar faces, you can rest assured that Scream 4 will feature barely clothed hot girls doing stupid things and Ghost Face getting his stab on. When Scream first hit theaters in 1996, it took pop-culture by storm. Now, director Wes Craven returns to the franchise in a new decade with Scream 4. During production of the flick, it was announced that screenwriter Kevin Williamson (who scripted the first two Scream films) was being replaced with Ehren Kruger (who wrote the third Scream film, which was received, um, not well…). Craven made everyone uneasy when, shortly after that news broke, he tweeted from the set “No longer in control of the script.” The director recently sat down with Total Film magazine (via ScreamTrilogy) to discuss the issue:
“I was just stating the fact. In some ways it’s a Wes Craven film, and in way it’s not entirely, because it’s not a script I have control of. It’s ultimately controlled by what the studio wants in the script. My job is much more bringing whatever experience and expertise and creativity I can. Look, there was a bumpy period when things shifted over from Kevin to Ehren. I signed up to do a script by Kevin and unfortunately that didn’t go all the way through the shooting. But it certainly is Kevin’s script and concept and ideas and themes.”
