We’ve got 15 new images from Guillermo del Toro’s summer extravaganza Pacific Rim.  There are shots of the stars in uniform aboard their giant robotic fighting Jaegers, plus some behind-the-scenes images of del Toro himself along with cinematographer Guillermo Navarro.  There’s also some concept art for both the Jaegers and their monstrous opponents, the Kaiju.  Hit the jump to check out the images.

The techno-speak in Guillermo del Toro’s giant robot movie Pacific Rim might take a bit of getting used to, so the director has put together this new featurette that explains some of the terms.  Ever wanted to know why it takes two people to pilot a Jaeger?  Want to know what a “neural handshake” is or what “drift space” means?  Check out the new video to find out!

Pacific Rim feels so far away, and that’s because it kind of is.  We’re a little under two months until the movie’s release, and there are plenty of blockbusters before Guillermo Del Toro‘s monsters-vs-robots picture hits the big screen.  But Warner Bros. is already making sure that TV audiences are aware of the flick, and the first TV spot has been released.  There’s some new footage in here, but every thing I’ve seen just leaves me with the same thought: I need to see this on a movie screen.

Another trailer has been released for Guillermo Del Toro‘s Pacific Rim.  The story is kicked off by the emergence of monsters (known as Kaiju) who start a war that devastates humanity.  To fight back, humans build giant robots (known as Jaegers) that are controlled by two pilots.  The latest trailer explains how the Jaegers work, but the main focus is the scale of the kaiji-vs-jaeger battles.  Nothing is really spoiled here, and watching this in a YouTube player is almost a disservice to the size of the action.  I still can’t wait to see this flick up on the big screen.

Pacific Rim owes a great debt to Japan.  Director Guillermo del Toro‘s upcoming film draws from the country’s monster movies and manga, and in a new Japanese trailer, del Toro acknowledges these influences.  Pacific Rim doesn’t look like a homage as much as it appears to simply be the loving offspring of some of Japan’s most beloved entertainment.  There’s also some new footage lurking about in the trailer, so that’s worth checking out as well.

Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim had a presentation at this year’s WonderCon, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.  They showed off plenty of new footage in a new trailer for the upcoming giant-monsters-vs-giant-robots flick, and now that trailer has landed online.  As Charlie Day‘s character says, it’s “2,500 tons of awesome.”  The new trailer provides a lot more info on the story, but it’s the visuals that will really blow people away.  I felt bad watching it on my computer monitor because this is a movie that clearly demands to be seen in theaters.

Universal’s 3D samurai tentpole 47 Ronin has had a bit of a troubled road through production and post-production, but if all goes according to plan, we’ll be seeing Keanu Reeeves wielding his sword in theaters this coming December.  In anticipation of the pic, some promo posters have gone online that feature the cast doing their best samurai poses.  Reeves stars as one of the 18th century samurai who seek to avenge their master’s death, lending some starpower to the movie.  I don’t imagine we’ll see a trailer until closer to this summer, but these promo posters offer a nice tease of what’s to come.

Warner Bros. has put together a new trailer for Guillermo del Toro‘s Pacific Rim for Qualcomm’s presentation at CES 2013.  The story is kicked off by the rise of monsters (known as Kaiju) from the sea who start a war that devastates humanity.  To fight back, the humans build giant robots (known as Jaegers) that are controlled by two pilots.  We here at Collider support a movie that gives Del Toro $200 million dollars to design sea monsters and giant robots that fight each other.  The trailer delivers on that promise with new footage.

A new image from director Guillermo del Toro’s monsters vs. robots film Pacific Rim has landed online, and it features neither monsters nor robots.  Instead, we get a look at the characters played by Idris Elba and Rinko Kikuchi in what looks to be some sort of control room setting.  The story finds humans towards the end of a losing battle against giant monsters called Kaiju.  In order to combat the creatures, humans have developed their own giant human-controlled robots called Jaegers.  Given what we saw in the film’s excellent first trailer, it’s safe to say del Toro isn’t pulling any punches.

With director Guillermo del Toro’s trailer for Pacific Rim making a big splash recently, we thought we’d put together a collection of screengrabs for you to enjoy. The trailer comes in at a little over two minutes, but features a variety of characters: human, robot and monster alike. We’ve got great looks at the Jaegers Gipsy Danger, Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha and what may be either the Striker Eureka or Coyote Tango. There’s also plenty of detailed shots of the mech pilots in their suits for all you Comic-Con attendees/cosplay fans.

Comic-Con 2012 is finally upon us, and one of the most anticipated panels of the entire convention is Guillermo del Toro’s first film as a director since 2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army.  A true monster movie, Pacific Rim centers on giant human-controlled robots known as “Jaegers” fighting off giant monsters called “Kaiju.”  A new image from the pic has landed online, as well as some incredibly exciting quotes from del Toro himself regarding the film:

“I am an obsessive compulsive, and I can tell you without any shadow of a doubt I am involved very deeply on everything, from the pin on the lapel of a jacket to which way the monster’s eye slants. I am essentially a socially inept creature. I dedicate my entire life to this. This is what I do, this is what I live for.”

The first official image from Pacific Rim showed off Idris Elba, and now we have a look at co-stars Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi.  The film centers on giant robots known as “Jaegers” fighting off giant monsters called “Kaiju”.  Hunnam and Kikuchi play a washed-up pilot and untested trainee, respectively.  The duo must use a seemingly obsolete Jaeger to stand as mankind’s last hope against the Kaiju.  As you can see, Hunnam and Kikuchi are wearing the same flight suits as Elba’s character, but I have no idea what’s going on with the codpiece on Hunnam’s outfit.  I guess if a giant monster hits you in the balls, you want to be well protected.
