Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci continue to flex their producing muscles.  Not content with just steering projects such as Hawaii Five-0 and Cowboys & Aliens, the dynamic duo, under their Kurtzman Orci Paper Products production company, will be teaming up with Summit Entertainment to bring the spec Now You See Me to the big screen.  See Me is written by Edward Ricourt, a member of Marvel Studios’ Writing Program, and Boaz Yakin, known for Remember the Titans (yay!) and The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (boo!).  Hit the jump for details on the plot.

Director Jon Favreau Tweets the First Image from COWBOYS & ALIENS Production

DreamWorks and Universal could probably rely on title alone to build anticipation for Cowboys & Aliens, but they aren’t resting on their laurels.  Jon Favreau (Iron Man) is directing.  The script comes from Damon Lindelof (Lost),  Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek).  The studios rounded up an all-star cast featuring Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford, Clancy Brown, Paul Dano, and Keith Carradine.  I’m, like, quadruple sold.  Tonight brings us our first look at the production, as Favreau tweeted a picture taken during camera tests.  It’s not much, but it may give some indication of the costumes in store, and it looks super cool (backlighting tends to have that effect).  Check out the full image after the jump.

With the recent casting of Daniel Craig and Olivia Wilde in director Jon Favreau’s (Iron Man, Elf) Cowboys and Aliens movie, it was clear things were moving full steam ahead on Favreau’s next project after Iron Man 2.  While the release date was scheduled for sometime in 2011, with Battleship sailing to 2012, Universal has announced Cowboys and Aliens will take over the July 29, 2011 release date.

What that means is…Comic-Con 2011 is going to be awesome.
