It was announced today that Pierce Brosnan and Dominic Cooper have been set to star in the espionage action-thriller November Man. The film is based on Bill Granger’s novel There Are No Spies and “tells the tale of an ex-CIA operative who is brought back in on a very personal mission and finds himself pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving high level CIA officials and the Russian president-elect.” Production is set to begin in October in Berlin, with Roger Donaldson (The Bank Job) onboard to direct from a script by Michael Finch (Predators) and Karl Gajdusek (Tresspass).
Cooper has had a string of high profile roles as of late, as he starred as Howard Stark in last year’s Captain America: The First Avenger and turned heads with his stellar performance in The Devils Double. He’ll be seen this summer in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Hit the jump to read the full press release regarding November Man.

The first US trailer and poster for the thriller Seeking Justice have been unveiled. The plot concerns a happily married man who enlists the help of a dangerous underground vigilante operation when his wife is brutally attacked. He soon finds out that he’s in over his head, as the vigilante syndicate has bigger plans in mind as part of his repayment for their services. The trailer is pretty much what you’d expect from an action-thriller starring Nicolas Cage. There’s nothing particularly new or interesting here, and January Jones is quickly becoming the go-to actress for the part of “traumatized wife.” Time will tell if Guy Pearce’s charisma is enough to carry the film, but based on this first look I’m not entirely sold that Seeking Justice is worth checking out (though Cage’s facial hair makes a strong case for the contrary).

Director Roger Donaldson (The Bank Job) has set two lead actors for his latest film, Cities. Clive Owen and Anil Kapoor will star in the financial thriller that takes place in the months leading up to the Dow Jones reaching an all-time high. The film tells three intertwining stories: a hedge fund manager in New York seemingly has everything, a young couple in London are attempting to buy a new home, and a cop in Mumbai fights against corruption between property speculators and colleagues.
Filming is set to commence in October in multiple locations including New York, London and Mumbai. Parlay Films is set to handle international rights. Donaldson recently wrapped Hungry Rabbit Jumps starring Nicolas Cage, January Jones and Guy Pearce. Hit the jump to read the full press release regarding the aptly named Cities.

Director F. Gary Gray (Law Abiding Citizen) is reportedly at the top of the short list to helm the adaptation of the video game Kane & Lynch with Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx attached to star. We reported a couple weeks ago that Wayne Kramer (The Cooler) was in talks to direct after stunt effects coordinator Simon Crane dropped off the project. In that same article, we noted that Gray had been offered the project, but turned it down. It looks like the studio, Millennium Films, has been able to bring Gray back to the table. According to Heat Vision, director Roger Donaldson (The Bank Job) is also on the short list.
The video game follows death-row inmate Kane (Willis) who, along with a schizophrenic killer named Lynch (Foxx), is sprung by Kane’s former team so that they can retrieve a stolen microchip that’s worth a fortune. Lynch acts as the team’s watchdog in order to save his wife and daughter. I’m sure the mother and daughter will be overjoyed to see their schizophrenic killer husband and father again. Production is set to begin this August.

“Mad Men” is paying big dividends for the lovely and talented January Jones. On Sunday she came signed on to “Unknown White Male” and will co-star with Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger. Two days later, Variety reports she has another major role as she joins Nicolas “Not the Bees” Cage for the upcoming thriller, “Hungry Rabbit Jumps”. Directed by Roger Donaldson (“The Bank Job”), the movie “centers on a man (Cage) who becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization after his wife (Jones) is the victim of a brutal crime.” It will be Jones’ job to keep Cage from masticating every piece of scenery he can find. Shooting is set to begin this January while shooting for “Unknown White Male” is scheduled to begin shooting at the end of January. “Mad Men” will return for a fourth season but no word yet on when it will start shooting or when it will premiere.

In my perfect world, Nicolas Cage would long ago have worn out his welcome and would spend his days begging – nay, pleading – to appear in “Check Into Cash” commercials in a feeble attempt to save his house from foreclosure. Alas, it appears the imperfect world I actually live in isn’t tired of Nicolas Cage, so he’s coming back to furl his brow and sport the fivehead in glorious 3D for the new action-thriller “Hungry Rabbit Jumps” (I don’t suppose we’ll be lucky enough to get a title change on that one, either). Find out more about this doozy after the jump.
