When I was in school, there were two films everyone watched.  One was “Donnie Darko”, which gave us a sequel earlier this year.  The other was “Boondock Saints”.   Anyway, the MacManus Brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus)  return to the screen this Friday, and I sat down with them to talk all things Boondock.  I learned that you should never accept donuts from Sean and that both Sean and Norman are very passionate about their returning to their roles as avenging angels. Watch the interview after the jump.

I know that “Boondock Saints” has a very strong cult following.  I also know that the cool thing to do is to hate on the film (and its fans).  I’m somewhere in the middle.  I remember renting “Boondock Saints” right before it became huge and not really loving the film, but enjoying the more insane and campy aspects to it.  I also remember trying to work in Willem Dafoe’s awesome delivery of “There was a firefight!!” into every conversation for about 2 weeks. Anyway, it kind of blows my mind the film has such a strong cult following.  I’m indifferent when it comes to the original film and I feel the same way with the sequel. But I know that some of you guys out are anticipating it.  To those who are, you can check out some stills and the film’s poster when you hit the jump.
