The first clip from director Shawn Levy's corporate comedy The Internship features stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson participating in an online interview. As two out-of-work salesmen looking to reinvent themselves in a digital world, it's immediately apparent that they're out of touch with modern technology. The Wedding Crashers chemistry is on display so if you liked it before, it looks like you're in for more of the same. Be sure to get caught up on Steve's set visit, including interviews with Levy, Wilson and Vaughn.

Also starring Rose Byrne, B.J. Novak, John Goodman, Dylan O'Brien and Josh Gad, The Internship opens June 7th. Hit the jump to watch the clip.

Check out the clip from The Internship below (via Yahoo!):

Here's the official synopsis for The Internship:
Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

Coming off the worldwide success of Real Steel, director Shawn Levy had his pick of projects. And while it seemed like a few other movies might have gotten to the starting line first, after meeting and collaborating with Vince Vaughn on The Watch (which Levy produced), the actor pitched him on the idea of The Internship, and they started filming soon after.

During a break in production on set last year, I was able to interview Levy with a movie reporter from Yahoo. We talked about getting Google to sign off, how he edits what he shoots that day, the soundtrack, filming for both a PG-13 or an R rating, having actors that are great improvisers, why he's using a digital camera, future projects such Project Aloha, Night at the Museum 3, 39 Clues, Fantastic Voyage, and Real Steel 2, and a lot more. Hit the jump for what he had to say, but be aware that there are some spoilers regarding cameos in The Internship.

Before going any further, if you haven't seen the trailer, I'd watch that first.

Note: This interview was done on set last year. The status of future projects may have changed.

Question: Let's talk about The Internship.

SHAWN LEVY: First, to answer your question about Alexander, we have a script that’s co-written by Lisa Cholodenko and a writer named Rob Lieber. Obviously, like pretty much everyone who has any taste, I loved both Laurel Canyon and The Kids Are All Right. And the whole idea was to not make this a ...

20th Century Fox has provided us with a number of new images from director Shawn Levy's The Internship, and a few of them are exclusive. If you’re not familiar with The Internship, which opens June 7th, the film reteams Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. The film also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr.

Last year I got to visit the set when they were filming in Atlanta, and I watched the cast film a very funny scene featuring everyone getting to know one another. In take after take, I saw the way Vaughn, Wilson and Levy would slightly adjust the dialogue and reactions so they'd have plenty of choices in the editing room. In addition, it was great to see the cast and crew try and hold it together until Levy called cut. As soon as he did, the room lit up with laughter. Based on what I saw and learned on set, I think The Internship is going to be a winner. Hit the jump for the images.

Over the past few years, I've been extremely lucky as I've been able to visit a lot of movies when they've been filming around the globe. However, no matter where you get to go, visiting a movie set is usually the same: you spend hours watching from a distance, during a break in shooting you conduct interviews, and the production is always careful what you get to see while on set. But when 20th Century Fox invited me to the set of director Shawn Levy's The Internship, it was a unique opportunity, because unlike most set visits that have a number of journalists visiting on the same day, I spent the day with only two other reporters, and we had a ton of freedom to watch what we wanted and take in the production on our own terms. It turned out to be the perfect way to watch Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn work on a very funny scene.

If you're not familiar with The Internship, which opens June 7th, the film reteams the Wedding Crashers stars as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. The film also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr. As you might imagine, there's plenty of opportunity to showcase Vaughn and Wilson being ill equipped to handle modern technology in funny ways. Hit the jump for more.

When you visit the set of a movie, you're lucky to get ten to fifteen minutes with the main cast. It's not because they don't want to talk to you; it's usually because they're in every shot and they have limited time in between set-ups. However, when I visited the Atlanta set of The Internship last year with two other reporters, I did something I've never done on any movie set: I had lunch with the stars and director. When the production took their lunch break, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and director Shawn Levy came over to where we were sitting and for about thirty minutes talked about the movie, how it came together, improv, what it's been like working with Google, script changes, and so much more. As a big fan of all three people, it was an awesome way to conduct the interview. Hit the jump for what they had to say.

Before going any further, if you haven't seen the trailer, I'd watch that first.

Question: I'll definitely start off by saying I'm a big fan of what you guys have done together in the past. Talk a little bit about how long you guys have been trying to work together again and how did this project come about?

OWEN WILSON: We were just talking about how it’s funny to think that it's been so long since we did work together. I guess you kind of wait to find something that you both get excited about. So when Vince had ...

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer for director Shawn Levy’s comedy The Internship. The film reteams Wedding Crashers stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for an internship at Google. This trailer delves a bit deeper into the film’s plot, as we learn that those competing for the internship at Google are split up into teams and Vaughn and Wilson find themselves in the “misfit” group. There are a few new jokes here and there, but the highlight is the appearance of Book of Mormon star Josh Gad who has a nice bit in this trailer.

Hit the jump to watch the new trailer. The film also stars Rose Byrne, Aasif Mandvi, Max Minghella, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr. The Internship opens on June 7th.

A new international trailer for Shawn Levy's The Internship is now available. Starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, The Internship centers on two out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by competing against young up-and-comers for a Google internship. The first trailer showcased the humor we expected from the Wedding Crashers duo and the new cut is almost identical except for one additional bit that shows just how out of touch these two really are.

Hit the jump to watch the trailer. The film also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne, Dylan O’Brien, and Jessica Szohr. The Internship opens on June 7th.

The first trailer for director Shawn Levy’s upcoming comedy The Internship has been released online. The film stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two old school salesmen who haven’t kept up with the digital age. When they suddenly become unemployed, they attempt to remake themselves by interning at a major tech company. The trailer shows that the chemistry between Vaughn and Wilson is still strong and there are plenty of one-liners and laughs to be found without giving the whole movie away. A very promising start for The Internship.

The feature film adaptation of Jonathan Tropper’s novel This is Where I Leave You is picking up some steam. The project was initially gearing up to begin production last spring under director Adam Shankman with an ensemble cast that included Jason Bateman, Zac Efron, Goldie Hawn, Leslie Mann, Malin Akerman, and Jason Sudeikis, but Shankman subsequently exited the project and casting deals were never completed, so movement stalled. Shawn Levy came onboard to direct last fall, and now Bateman is back on the project as the search to fill out the rest of the cast begins in anticipation of a May or June production start date.

The book tells the story of a dysfunctional family that is forced to reunite when their father requests they sit Shivah for seven days following his death, and the feature film adaptation has attracted a great deal of talent, with Harry Potter director David Yates previously flirting with the project. Hit the jump to find out which actresses are currently testing for roles opposite Bateman.

Per THR, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Zoe Saldana, Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers), Kathryn Hahn (Step Brothers), and Ari Graynor (For a Good Time Call…) are among the actresses that are testing for roles. Amy Adams is also apparently in the mix, but she’s not being asked to read for the part. Most of the actresses are reading for the role of Penny, “the love that got away who works at her father’s company,” but Hahn is reading for the part of Bateman’s ...

Though the film has been rumored for quite some time, it appears as though Night at the Museum 3 is officially a go. The film has been scheduled for release on December 25, 2014, and Shawn Levy will be returning to the director’s chair while Ben Stiller reprises his lead role. Levy most recently helmed the Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy The Intership and is also attached to direct Stiller and Jonah Hill in the comedy Aloha, but with the Christmas 2014 release date imminent, it looks like Museum 3 is his next film. Here’s what he had to say about the story when Levy spoke with Steve last year:
"It’s really funny, it’s very poignant, and it’s not just ‘Oh what museum are they going to this time?’ it’s a much meatier story than that.”
No other plot details are known at this time, but I assume we’ll hear more soon. Hit the jump for release date news concerning the adaptation of The Maze Runner.

In additional release date news, director Wes Ball’s adaptation of the James Dashner novel The Maze Runner has been set for a Valentine’s Day 2014 release. The story centers on a group of teenagers who wake up to find themselves trapped in an ever-changing maze, and Ball landed the directing gig off the strength of his animated short Ruin. The Maze Runner is currently slated to open against the Screen Gems remake of About Last Night. Read the synopsis of Dashner’s novel below.

One of the films I'm really excited to see this June is director Shawn Levy's The Internship. Starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, The Internship finds them playing two old-school salesmen who haven’t kept up with the digital age. When they suddenly become unemployed, they attempt to remake themselves by interning at a major tech company. The film also stars Rose Byrne, Dylan O'Brien, Max Minghella, Jessica Szohr, and a few very cool cameos.

Last summer, when the production was filming in Atlanta, I got to visit the set and watched some great improv between Vaughn and Wilson that had everyone in the room laughing as soon as Levy called cut. It was abundantly clear that even though Vaughn and Wilson hadn't worked together since Wedding Crashers, they still had great chemistry. In addition, I got to talk with the cast as well as Levy, and closer to release I'll be running the interviews. Until then, 20th Century Fox is letting us premiere the first teaser poster and it's after the jump, along with more on the film. The Internship opens June 7.

The very busy Shawn Levy is adding another project to his development docket, though this time it’s only in a producing capacity. FilmNation Entertainment announced today that it would finance and produce the sci-fi thriller Story of Your Life alongside Lava Bear Films, with Levy producing the pic via his 21 Laps banner with partner Dan Levine. Written by Eric Heisserer (The Thing), the film is based on a short story by Ted Chiang that takes place immediately after aliens land around the globe and centers on a linguist who is recruited by the US government in a race to decipher their intentions on Earth.

Commercials director Nic Mathieu is set to direct, and the pic is being fast-tracked with casting beginning immediately for a planned 2013 production start-date. Levy most recently wrapped his latest directorial project, the Owen Wilson/Vince Vaughn comedy The Internship, and earlier this month signed on to helm the ensemble dramedy adaptation This Is Where I Leave You. Hit the jump to read the full press release concerning Story of Your Life.

Here’s the full press release:
Los Angeles, CA – November 27, 2012 – FilmNation Entertainment, in partnership with Lava Bear Films, will finance, produce and handle worldwide sales for the sci-fi thriller STORY OF YOUR LIFE written by Eric Heisserer (Hours, The Thing, A Nightmare on Elm Street) and to be directed by prolific commercial director, Nic Mathieu. We have word that Shawn Levy (Real Steel) is stepping in to direct the ensemble comedy, This Is Where I Leave You as a replacement for Adam Shankman (Rock of Ages). Shankman was attached to the Warner Bros. film as recently as this past summer, but he departed the picture along with star Jason Bateman. The studio then put the picture in limbo, but have recently entered final negotiations with Levy to direct. The original cast also featured Jason Sudeikis, Malin Akerman, Zac Efron and Leslie Mann, but it's not yet clear whether their schedules can accommodate the shoot. Hit the jump for more.

Variety reported that Levy will take over directorial duties for Warner Bros.' This Is Where I Leave You. It looks like Levy will make this his next film and plans to shoot next summer after a quick revision of the script. Based on the best-selling Jonathan Tropper novel, the comedy centers on a dysfunctional family that is forced to reunite when their father requests they sit Shivah for seven days following his death.

Read the synopsis for the book below.
The death of Judd Foxman’s father marks the first time that the entire Foxman family-including Judd’s mother, brothers, and sister-have been together in years. Conspicuously absent: Judd’s wife, Jen, whose fourteen-month affair with Judd’s radio-shock-jock boss has recently become painfully public.

Simultaneously mourning the death of his father and the demise of his marriage, Judd joins the rest of the Foxmans as they reluctantly submit to their patriarch’s dying request: to spend the ...

The First Time is a modern and realistic look at the angst and excitement of young love. Dave (Dylan O’Brien) is a high school senior who meets Aubrey (Britt Robertson), a junior, one night at a party and a casual conversation sparks a connection that keeps drawing them back to each other. From writer/director Jonathan Kasdan, the film also stars Victoria Justice, Craig Robertson, Joshua Malina and Christine Taylor. For more on the film, here's the trailer.

At the film’s press day, actor Dylan O’Brien spoke to Collider for this exclusive interview about what drew him to this story and role, how relieved he was with the positive response as the film started to screen at film festivals, really staying in the moment as an actor, and how memorable the entire experience was. He also talked about what it was like to make The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, and how director Shawn Levy is going for a more PG-13 family feel, that they’ll return to shoot Season 3 of his MTV series Teen Wolf in December, with 24 episodes now, how he has no idea what’s to come for Stiles, and that he has no idea what Stiles’ first name is. Check out what he had to say after the jump.

Collider: How did you come to be a part of this film? Was it just an audition, or was it something you specifically pursued?

DYLAN O’BRIEN: It was an audition for me, like any other thing. The only thing ...

After it was first announced that Shawn Levy (Real Steel) had come aboard to direct a new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein nearly a year ago, development on 20th Century Fox’s redo slowed considerably. Levy told Steve earlier this year that he planned on using motion-capture for the monster, but he and screenwriter Max Landis (Chronicle) were faced with a competing Frankenstein film by way of the the Aaron Eckhart-fronted I, Frankenstein, which has already wrapped production and is due for release next year.

Now it appears that Levy is off the project completely, as Lucky Number Slevin helmer Paul McGuigan has entered talks to direct. Hit the jump for more.

Variety reports that McGuigan is now in final talks to take the helm for Fox. Apparently Levy envisioned a big-budget version of the story, while the studio was more keen on taking a smaller approach to the classic tale. Indeed, Levy told Steve this past February that his iteration of Frankenstein wasn’t going to be made on a tiny budget:
“That script is ready to rock, I am ready to rock on that script, but as was reported it’s not a small budget. My Frankenstein, it ain’t gonna get done well and the way I would insist on doing it for $35 million. So anytime you’re in like $70-$80 million for a movie, you’re really thinking about ‘Well who are these two guys?’ in our case it’s Igor and Victor Frankenstein, ‘What’s the juicy pairing that makes that a good bet? That makes ...

If you're going to center your movie's plot around a cutting-edge technology firm, take a lesson from director Shawn Levy and choose Google. Levy's The Internship stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two out of touch salesmen who reinvent themselves at a tech company through a highly contentious internship. Today on Twitter, Levy revealed that the company would be the very real, and very progressive, Google. The director has also accompanied his Tweets of late with set photos. Hit the jump to check them out.

If you don't already follow Levy on Twitter, remedy that by clicking here. Here's what Levy had to say about the pending location for The Internship:
"Amazed I kept my mouth shut for 4months about the real setting of #TheInternship .Happily,it's now public. We're going to Google,baby.Google."

Google, recreated at GeorgiaTech by our brilliant ProductionDesigner TomMeyer. Filming at real Googleplex in sept...!
Here are some set photos Tweeted by Levy that feature Vaughn, Wilson, JoAnna Garcia, BJ Novak and Thomas Lennon. Unfortunately we haven't seen any images yet of Will Ferrell, who is expected to cameo in the film to complete the Wedding Crashers cast reunion.

It's a Wedding Crashers reunion! Not only are Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson getting together for The Internship, but Will Ferrell is now reported to be making an appearance as well. Much like his turn in Wedding Crashers, Ferrell's role will be small (but memorable, I'm sure). Directed by Shawn Levy, the film follows Vaughn and Wilson as two out-of-touch and out-of-work salesmen who attempt to reinvent themselves by taking an internship at a major tech company. Hit the jump for more details on Ferrell's cameo.

Variety reported on Ferrell's cameo in The Internship, which will feature the veteran comedian as Wilson's brother-in-law. The character apparently sells home electronics and has no qualms about making inappropriately sexist remarks about his attractive customers. Sounds right up Ferrell's alley, as he starred as the guys' mentor Chazz Reinhold in Wedding Crashers, a man who took pride in crashing funerals.

Levy's The Internship also stars Max Minghella, Rose Byrne and John Goodman, alongside Dylan O'Brien, JoAnna Garcia, Eric Andre, Josh Brener, Tiya Sircar, Aasif Mandvi and Tobit Raphael. Josh Gad recently joined the cast as Headphones, the anti-social engineer who works at their tech firm and has a penchant for wearing headphones without music.

Ferrell will next be seen in the upcoming political comedy The Campaign opposite Zach Galifianakis. Also on the comedian's schedule is the adaptation of the Susan Trott novel, Flamingo Thief, the football comedy Three Mississippi and, of course, a return to form as Ron Burgundy in Anchoman 2.

Here are some casting updates at a glance:

Selena Gomez (Monte Carlo) has joined Parental Guidance Suggested, a rock-and-roll odyssey from writer/director Tim Garrick.
Josh Gad (Love and Other Drugs) is the latest to join Shawn Levy's The Internship, a comedic reunion of Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.
Miles Teller (Project X) and Analeigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love) will star in Two Night Stand, a romantic comedy from Black List scribe Mark Hammer that will be the directorial debut of Max Nichols.
Josh Hamilton (J. Edgar) is set to join Keri Russell in Dark Skies, a sci-fi horror picture from Priest director, Scott Charles Stewart.

Hit the jump for more on each project.

THR reports that Gomez will star as Nina Pennington, the object of 16-year-old Ric Thibault's crush in Parental Guidance Suggested, an adaptation of the 2000 Ric Browde novel, "While I'm Dead...Feed the Dog." Nat Wolff (New Year's Eve) will star as Thibault in the coming-of-age comedy while Austin Stowell (The Secret Life of American Teenager) plays Nina's overbearing boyfriend. The picture also features Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story) and Cary Elwes (Saw).

Deadline reports that Gad is set to play Headphones, a prickly engineer at the tech firm where Vaughn and Wilson take The Internship. While he never actually listens to anything through his titular headphones, he always wears them. Gad recently wrapped his portrayal of Steve Wozniak in the Ashton Kutcher-starrer, Jobs.

From Variety comes word of Teller and Tipton starring in Two Night Stand, what's sure to be a cute romantic comedy ...
