Empire has snagged the latest UK teaser poster for the highly-anticipated insane-action-comic-book flick Kick-Ass. Those lucky sons of bitches will be getting the film on March 26th while us poor sods here in the states have to wait until April 16th.
It isn’t enough that they’re getting the film early, but now they have this sweet looking teaser poster to boot. The poster features Chloe Moretz as Hit-Girl, an 11-year-old assassin who murders the shit out of bad guys (as seen in the great red-band trailer). The tagline on this poster is: “Cute. Adorable. DEADLY.” It also works as an epitaph.

IMDb has premiered (weird to write that phrase) the teaser trailer for Oliver Stone’s Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and makes no secret in hiding its biggest selling point: Michael Douglas as the infamous Gordon Gekko. The trailer has a couple laughs (“Gold money clip with no money in it.”) but it doesn’t seem to fit the seriousness one would expect from such a film commenting on how greed isn’t only good, but now it’s legal. The trailer is, for lack of a better word, slick. And that slickness just reminds me of the Futurama episode where the 80s guy/Gordon Gekko-parody comes out of cryogenesis and proceeds to be sleazy but hilariously dated. I wonder if Gekko’s only regret is that he has boneitis.

Of all the women in my life who watched the Sex and the City TV show, only one enjoyed the 2008 movie while everyone else had mixed to negative reactions to the film. I watched the film and while I know it wasn’t for me, I couldn’t help but feel like the film was overly long and felt suited towards a made-for-HBO movie than a big screen theatrical event. But my opinion and the opinions of my mom and female friends don’t seem to matter much because Sex and the City 2 is hurdling towards us and the first trailer for the film has come online.
I don’t have much to say about it other than there’s two lame puns on the name “Carrie” and Kim Cattrall is almost unrecognizable and I don’t mean that in a good way. Also, a female friend who liked the show but hated the first movie made an interesting point about the sequel: now that Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is married, what’s the point? How would her character even have a job since her column was about single life in Manhattan? I don’t know the answer to that question nor do I particularly care. Sex and the City 2 isn’t for me.
But if you think it may be for you, check out the trailer after the jump. Sex and the City 2 hits theaters on May 28, 2010.

The new teaser trailer and poster for Universal’s upcoming animated flick Despicable Me both focus on the minions of Gru (voiced by Steve Carell). What these minions do and how they factor into the film, I’m not sure. What I do know is this: they’re adorable. Of all the teaser trailers they’ve released for the film, this one is by far my favorite. None of the characters talk, it’s just these weird bean-like creatures wearing overalls and goggles, and they’re adorable. They’re also featured on the new poster but there are far more than just the two you see in the trailer.
Hit the jump to check out the new teaser trailer and poster. Despicable Me hits theaters on July 9, 2010.

You’ve probably been waiting with baited breath for more news on the Marmaduke movie ever since Matt reported on it back in November, and the teaser trailer is finally here. The movie, based on the comic strip about a lovable Great Dane, stars Owen Wilson as the voice of the titular dog. Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, and Marlon Wayans will supply additional voices, while Judy Greer, Lee Pace, and William H. Macy will play the roles of Marmaduke’s family.
The trailer is about what you’d expect. Although, I did chuckle at the nonsensical pop culture reference that opens the trailer. And I think I could get behind a talking dog movie where the talking dog breaks the fourth wall, if that style continues beyond the trailer. With a stellar cast, if there’s any chance this movie could be good, I’m all for it. Form your own thoughts after the jump. Marmaduke is slated to hit theaters on June 4, 2010.

Video game tie-ins to major motion pictures are painfully ubiquitous and almost always crap, but a Tron sequel without a video game tie-in would be downright offensive. When your main character runs an arcade and is a video game programmer, a video game tie-in is a must. A couple weeks ago we saw the first glimpse of the Tron Legacy video game, but at the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards, they showed off the full teaser as well as the game’s real name: Tron: Evolution.
Being a teaser, it’s basically just the game’s announcement with no gameplay details and only the barest hint of the story. The best piece of info the teaser provides is the tagline, “Before the Legacy Starts, the Battle Begins,” which leads me to believe that Tron: Evolution could serve as a link between the original Tron and Tron Legacy, which takes place 30 years later. However, there’s really only one thing I can be sure of with Tron: Evolution: Light cycles. There will be light cycles.
Hit the jump to check out the teaser, which informs us that Tron: Evolution hits shelves “Holiday 2010″.

Debuting this past August, Batman: Arkham Asylum received massive praise from video game critics (which is surprising since neither the words “Halo” or “Zelda” appear in the title) and sold two million copies in its first three weeks of release. During Spike TV’s 2009 Video Game Awards, WB debuted a teaser trailer for an untitled sequel and the overall picture is what gamers were hoping on the second go-round: bringing the fight to Gotham City. It looks like someone has made the dumbest move of all-time and put the Asylum in the middle of the city. But don’t worry; they have walls and floodlights. You wonder if Batman looks at this and just says “Fuck it. You’re on your own, Gotham.”
While the teaser shows criminals causing chaos throughout the streets before showing us a recuperating clown prince of the criminally insane, eagle-eyed viewers saw big hints about the sequel’s potential villains. For those who assumed that developer Rocksteady would have to be mad to not include The Penguin and Two-Face in the sequel, worry not. During the teaser, you’ll see a shot of the Iceberg Lounge (The Penguin), quick flashes of defaced recruitment posters where the “I” has been changed to “We” (Two-Face), and the word “SIONIS”, which is a reference to one of Bats’ lesser-known rogues, Black Mask.
Check out the trailer after the jump. I’ve also included screengrabs of the aforementioned shots so you won’t have to turn on Detective Mode. (On a related note, can us XBox 360 owners get some DLC-love on the first game?)

Yahoo! Movies has just debuted the first poster for Iron Man 2. That high-pitched noise you just heard was fanboys across the globe squealing their minds out to see War Machine (a.k.a. Col. James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes, played by Don Cheadle) standing behind Iron Man. Of course, if you have no idea about the Iron Man mythology, I wonder if you look at this think it’s like the Black Costume from Spider-Man 3 or if Iron Man is feeling shoulder-mounted-chain-gun-envy.
Hit the jump to check out the full poster. Iron Man 2 hits theaters on May 7, 2010.

We’re going to need a new word for a trailer that’s shorter than a teaser. The first teensy-tiny-teaser for Beastly, a modern-day spin on the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast has come online and it’s 23 seconds long. It’s actually 17 seconds because the MPAA green-band is on screen for six seconds. The trailer informs us that the young protagonist (Alex Pettyfer) is our “ugliness turn inside out,” after goth girl Kendra (Mary-Kate Olson) puts a curse on him. But Vanessa Hudgens sees the beauty inside because she’s hot and he’s hot too but he’s just under a curse so it’s not his fault. They find a connection but without singing and dancing house hold items, why bother? However, Neil Patrick and Peter Krause also star so that’s something.
Click here to take the 23 seconds to see the first footage from Beastly. The film opens in July 2010.
