The Italian trailer for Ami Canaan Mann’s dark thriller Texas Killing Fields (formerly titled The Fields) has gone online.  The film stars Sam Worthington as a small-town Texas cop who partners with a New York City detective (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to hunt down a serial killer who dumps his victims’ bodies in a marsh known to the local as a the “killing fields”.  The investigation becomes even more intense when the killer kidnaps a young local girl (Chloe Moretz).  I couldn’t understand any of the dialogue since it’s dubbed in Italian, but the visuals look impressive especially when you consider that this is Mann’s debut feature.

Jessica Chastain Interview TAKE SHELTER slice Sundance 2011 (2)

You might want to remember the name Jessica Chastain.  The reason is while you don’t know her name right now, by the end of the year, you will.  That’s because Chastain has been acting in a ton of high profile movies over the past few years and most are going to get released this year.  Here’s the list: Terrence Malick’s The Tree of Life, Ami Canaan Mann’s The Fields, John Madden’s The Debt, Al Pacino’s Wilde Salome, Tate Taylor’s The Help, and she’s about to start filming John Hillcoat’s The Wettest Country in the World opposite Shia LaBeouf and Tom Hardy.  As I said, she’s about to step into the spotlight.

At this year’s Sundance, I was able to sit down with Chastain for an extended video interview to talk about Take Shelter – which premiered at this year’s Festival.  Written and directed by Jeff Nichols (Shotgun Stories), the film is about a young husband and father that must decide whether to shelter his family from the storm, or from himself, after being plagued by a series of apocalyptic visions.  The film stars Michael Shannon and he delivers an incredible performance.  Of course one of the reasons he’s so great is being able to play off Chastain, who really impressed me as a young mother and wife.

During our extended conversation, we discussed her early TV work like NBC’s Journeyman, what it was like to work for Malick on Tree of Life and his next film which stars Ben Affleck, who she plays in Wettest Country,  and so much more.  If you’d like to learn a lot about this rising actress, hit the jump to watch the interview.  I’ve also pulled some quotes about working for Malick which only make me more excited to see The Tree of Life.

When actress Chloe Grace Moretz says that she’s not just a normal 13-year-old girl, it’s very easy to believe her. Having begun her entertainment career at the age of five, as a model in New York City, she moved with her family to Los Angeles and has been booking acting jobs non-stop ever since.

After various television and film roles, she was brought to the attention of adult audiences with her role as Hit Girl, a ferocious, potty-mouthed 11-year-old in Kick-Ass, the action-packed adaptation of Mark Millar’s comic book of the same name. She then decided to follow up that memorable performance with her current feature, the haunting horror film Let Me In, in which she plays the eerie and mysterious 12-year-old Abby, who turns out to be a vicious vampire that needs blood to survive.

While doing promotion on that film’s opening weekend, Chloe Moretz spoke to Collider in this exclusive phone interview about relating to a character like Abby, doing her own physical stunts and being very proud of her work in the film. She also talked about her work in the psychological thriller The Fields, the experience of shooting in 3D with Martin Scorsese for Hugo Cabret, her first two leading roles in the upcoming features The Rut and Hick (she says Kirsten Dunst is in talks for this), bringing the popular goth character Emily the Strange to life in live-action form and the chance of a Kick-Ass 2 ever happening. Check out what she had to say after the jump.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan interview.jpg

As most of you know, I’m a big fan of Jeffrey Dean Morgan.  Over the past few years, I’ve gotten to interview the actor on a number of different occasions.  From the red carpet of the Watchmen premiere, to this year’s WonderCon, to an extended interview on the set of The Losers and Watchmen, and even a roundtable interview for P.S. I Love You.   The past few years have seen Morgan talk with us a lot.  Normally, talking with the same actor so many times might be an issue, but never with Jeffrey Dean Morgan.  He’s always incredibly nice and giving with his time.

Anyway, last week I got to sit down with Morgan for an extended video interview.  We talked about making The Losers, I asked some reader submitted Twitter questions, what’s his thoughts on Supernatural and would he go back, and we talked future projects like Red Dawn, The Fields, Heart Shaped Box (which Joel Silver and Akiva Goldsman are developing) and Unblinking Eye.  If you’re a fan of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, you’ll love the interview.  Hit the jump to check it out:
