JANE EYRE Screenwriter to Adapt THE NIGHT CIRCUS for Summit

Summit has selected screenwriter Moira Buffini (Jane Eyre) to pen their upcoming feature film adaptation of the YA fantasy novel, The Night Circus. The book, by Erin Morgenstern, tells the story of two young magicians in the early 19^th century. Raised and trained by their illusionist fathers (who are rivals in their own right), Celia and Marco engage in a magician’s duel beneath the striped canvas tents of The Night Circus. As is often the case in YA literature these days, an ill-fated romance develops between the two. The combination of Victorian era sentiment and young romance should jive well for Buffini.
