Eric Bana is in negotiations to star alongside Saoirse Ronan in Joe Wright’s kid assassin film Hanna. The synopsis provided by Variety follows:
Story centers on a 14-year-old girl who has spent her life living in the woods and is trained by her father to be an assassin. She then leaves the wilderness for the first time to assassinate a high-ranking government official who has a lot to hide.
No word on what role Bana will play. Wright is known for directing Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, and most recently, The Soloist. Ronan, who starred in The Lovely Bones, will reteam with Wright, having previously worked on Atonement together. The Focus Features pic is set to shoot in Germany in March with a script by Scott Lochhead and a screenplay by David Farr.

So when “The Soloist” meets “The Hangover”, I guess you get Todd Phillips’ “Due Date” because Jamie Foxx has just signed on to co-star with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis. If you told me at the beginning of the year that I would see this kind of combination, I would accuse you of having wishful and really random thinking but I guess the joke’s on me. Hit the jump for more details.

Based on a true story, The Soloist tells the tragic tale of Nathaniel Ayers, a once promising Julliard student who ends up on the streets of Los Angeles’ skid row. He is befriended by Steve Lopez – a columnist for the Los Angeles Times looking for his next story. Played by the always wonderful Robert Downey Jr., Lopez instantly becomes fascinated with Nathaniel. How could this musically gifted person end up on the streets of Los Angeles? As the film unfolds, we come to find that Nathaniel has struggled with schizophrenia his entire adult life. More after the jump:
