Are Two More MATRIX Films in the Works? And in 3D? [Updated]

While there is a decent chance you’ll one day be able to file this under “Internet movie rumors that never amounted to anything,” we’d be remiss not to at least pass this along.  A report has filed in from a “Q & A” at the London International School of Performing Arts which claims that star Keanu Reeves spoke at moderate length about returning to The Matrix for two more sequels.  Per the account, Reeves claims to have had lunch with The Wachowski Brothers over Christmas during which they briefed him on a two-film treatment they had finished for the Matrix franchise.

Obviously, keep in mind that the purported eye-witness account of the “Q & A” is, as of yet, unconfirmed.  Nevertheless, if you’d like to here more about what Reeves purportedly had to say about reprising his role as Neo, hit the jump. [Update: It looks as if the lead in the write-up has been proven true as sources from both the Reeves camp and the London International School of Performing Arts claim the "Q & A" never even happened.]

Rumor: Jonah Nolan and David S. Goyer are the Frontrunners to Direct SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL

When it was announced that The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan would “godfather” the Superman franchise at home studio Warner Bros., a rumor sprung up that brother Jonah Nolan may assume directorial duties on Superman: Man of Steel.  While not completely unreasonable due to the nepotism factor and Jonah’s solid screenwriting resume (The Dark Knight, the potential Spielberg flick Interstellar), would the studio really be willing to hand the reins of one of the most valuable comic book franchises on the planet to a man with zero directing experience?really

Well, it appears that Warner Bros. is giving the notion some serious consideration.  The latest rumor suggests that David S. Goyer — the man whose name graces the Man of Steel script — is also in the mix, but the younger Nolan is the lead contender to direct Superman.  More after the jump:

Producer Joel Silver is Developing SWAMP THING in 3D!

Just an hour ago I participated in a press conference with producer Joel Silver for his new movie “Whiteout”. While Joel has a ton of projects in development on his IMDB page, he talked about a new one today. When he was asked about his thoughts on 3D and would he want to make any of his movies in the format he said, “I’m developing a picture now that I’d like to do…I’ll hopefully do Swamp Thing, which is a movie we’ve had for a long time. We think that would be great to do in 3D. There are a couple of projects I’m thinking about (for the format) but not everything.”

When the press conference ended, I managed to get another question in and I asked him if there was any truth to the Wachowski Brothers being involved in “Superman”. It’s after the jump:

Secret Screening Revealed! Warner Bros. is Showing NINJA ASSASSIN at Comic-Con

When Warner Bros. announced their Comic-Con schedule, the first film I looked for was “Ninja Assassin”. After all, the film arrives in theaters November 25th, so it’s a perfect movie to promote at the convention. Also, as a big fan of “V for Vendetta” (which was the last pairing of the Wachowski Brothers and director James McTeigue), “Ninja Assassin” is on my must see list. So when it wasn’t on the list of films being promoted, I was a bit concerned.

But thanks to an extremely reliable source, I can report the reason they weren’t promoting the film during their panel is because they are showing the entire film at Comic-Con. And the best part for all of you, it’s open to the public! Want to know how to go, it’s after the jump:
